Alverno is a private college so it costs lot more than a public college, like say the UW-Milwaukee. It does help that all the class rooms are small so you can really get in contact with your teachers easily. But for someone like me who wanted to get into graduate school it was pretty difficult. Alverno does not give out letter grades so the GPA requirement for Grad school is fufilled by teachers giving an individual grade for each student who will one day apply for grad school. Also if you transfer out of Alverno you stand the chance of losing many of your hours because Alverno has such unique classes. read full review

They definitely challenge you & push you outside of your comfort zone! It may seem awkward at first, but I just finished my 1st semester here & I look back and realize how much I've grown already. read full review
