Well, if you know anything about The Citadel already, you might know that freshman year presents a lot of challenges that you would not otherwise find at many other schools. However, I do not believe that I could have made tighter relationships at any other school. The situations you are forced to go through propel you to cling to your classmates for support. I am not going to lie and say it is all “blue skies and rainbows” but it is one of the most motivating and amazing experiences. You will have so many stories to tell at the end of the day. The laughs, smiles, and inside jokes that you will have made make everything worth it.
» Read MoreEven though it's been tough, I know I have taken the road less traveled and am enjoying the Citadel experience as a freshman (Knob as we are called). The company I'm in is one of hardest and very demanding, but all the cadets are great and support each other.
» Read MoreYou`ll Now, I`m in high school, not there (yet). But, I really want to go. Cappex says I`m a solid candidate, so, I`m hopeful! But I think you would really enjoy it if you want to be pushed to your limits, and get a great education. Also, I want to come because I`m a Southerner and I`d like to go to a very (culturally) Southern college. If the History professors refer to the war as The War of Northern Aggression, then it sounds perfect! I would almost rather go here than Annapolis!
» Read MorePlain and Simple, while you are here, it sucks. You are stuck here, the first year is very difficult, and there are mandatory events all of the time, but when you are here, you make a true bond with your classmates that can barely be imagined by those who have not had the experience.
