Categories Comments Great for these types of students Those who need one on one help. Those who are not sure whether college is right for them.
Tips for prospective students Do all your work by the given deadline. Show up early for a good seat. Don't sit in the back of the class. Get to know your teachers early on.
Bang for the buck CCD is very affordable for what is offered. You are paying a fraction of the price as the other two schools on the campus, yet you will have most of the exact same faculties available.
Am enjoying being here You are exposed to many events, from movie promotions, to famous speakers. You are also exposed to a large variety of people.
Am learning a lot By attending CCD, you are exposed to many classes that fit your needs. This school is a great starter school for those who need the one on one help.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Great for the outdoor lovers who like to walk outside in any weather.
Tips for prospective students The classrooms are spread apart so keep that in mind when you register for classes. I have had to walk from one end of campus and back in a day of classes and it would be nice to have them closer. My fault.
Bang for the buck I think school is so expensive these days so I'm not going to give a great review here. I am happy to give my money to this school but it's way too expensive.
Am enjoying being here I love being back to school and being around so many motivated people. The campus is amazing and in a perfect location right downtown. The skyline is an amazing backdrop for the walk to class.
Am learning a lot I just finished my first semester back to college, and I am really impressed with the amazing teachers at this school. I had a brilliant and fun Algebra teacher who was such a joy, even though our class was 3 1/2 hrs long! She is very knowledgeable and I knew if I had any question to ask her, she would know the answer.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students This school is great for people going back to school who haven't been to school in a while. ccd is for people who aren't fresh out of high school, its more for people who dropped out got their GED and is turning to go further in life
Tips for prospective students I would say if your going back to school and haven't gone to school like I have for many years go to ccd! They help you get the ball rolling! The staff is very helpful and explain the things you need to to before and after you start school
Bang for the buck CCD is alot cheaper than all the the online or for profit schools
Am enjoying being here I do enjoy going to the school when I have to to just see all the people. When I see the other people that are my age are going to the school too. People have had rough spots in their lives and they are trying to fix it by going back to school
Am learning a lot I have learned allot I'm only in my second semester at ccd! I have loved it so far. I am doing online classes and I thought I would not do so well with me teaching myself I feel I have done better in school than when I had a teacher in front of me.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Only attend this school if you like going to school for 4 years for a 2 year degree, or if you don't mind spending tons of extra money to complete a degree. It also helps if you enjoy having idiots running your school. Good luck!
Tips for prospective students Check out any other schools in the area that are not operating under bankruptcy. Other schools might actually let you complete your degree to go out and make something of your self - what a concept. This school is also run by a bunch of really rude people.
Bang for the buck Sure, it is less expensive than many other options. Unfortunately, when you factor in all of the repeat courses they make you take and all of the time spent arguing your way through a degree, it is just as expensive as a 4 year college - and half as impressive!
Am enjoying being here BEWARE!!! This school is absolutely ridiculous. I have been having the WORST time trying to get this group of idiot office workers to understand my situation and nothing is working. They recently passed a rule in the AA business program that they will no longer accept transfer credits from certain schools. I was supposed to be only 2 courses away from graduating and this is the second time they have come back saying I need to repeat courses I have already completed elsewhere. AVOID THIS TERRIBLE SCHOOL - ANYWHERE ELSE IS BETTER!
Am learning a lot The learning process is what you make of it; I have no concerns here.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students For students who are unsure of what they want to major in, undecided about what they want to become, financially challenge. Needs college experience.
Tips for prospective students This school have a diffrent type of financial aid rule. Don't waist the money given for school. be smart, and don't procrastinate.
Bang for the buck not very expensive at all, worth the money.
Am enjoying being here The campus is really nice is huge, and beautiful in the summer time, the people here are really friendly. I love going to school here.
Am learning a lot I like the school overall, the teachers and tutors are here to help. the class size is small, so you can get individual attention. Great, huge campus to be in.

Clubs and Activities i don't know much but there seems to be a lot of people doing activities on campus.
Great for these types of students its great for students that are returning to school and for students that don't know what they would like to study. i also think its great for students that don't have background knowledge of college.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus pretty much everything is celebrated on campus.
Bang for the buck i think its a good deal because i seen other students take the same class as i and its not a community college and its expensive for them.
What to do for fun get to know as much people, there are many performances on campus like off broadway and other state of the arts performances.
Food and Dining there is great food around campus, unfortunately we don't have a cafeteria like big universities.
Dorm Life they offer housing but i have not tried it out. i still live with my parents.
Academic Rigor professors will help at anytime when you don't understand the assignment or context.
Tips for prospective students go with an open mind. ask for help when you need it. also get as much advisor help as you can it helps a great deal! and lastly go to the community college of denver website and look around you will be surprised on how much information you can find.
In three sentences community college of denver is a great school. professors are always there to help at any time. i would recommend any high school student with out any background knowledge to community college of denver.

Categories Comments Campus Safety there is a campus police to rely on with different posts to call in case of an emergency. the police does it's best to keep the safety of all students.
Clubs and Activities in the plaza tivoli are all the clubs. the radio station and much more. something everyday, all the time.
Great for these types of students it is a very diverse place with so many cultures and people, sure we all learn about everybody everyday.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus it is my first year so i haven't experienced all the campus has to offer.
Bang for the buck to study can be pricey but it all will be worthy at the end when you reach your goal and a career.
What to do for fun there is a lot of places around the campus with so many activities that will keep you busy trough the week, from a gym to the library. a big nice pool and even a music hall for concerts.
Food and Dining as many other places there is different options when is time to get some food around the campus. the bank food is a good option when you have forgotten to bring your lunch!
Dorm Life i do not have had that experience, so i couldn't say.
Academic Rigor as we are all adult we know that the progress in this academic life is just based on our selves and nobody is to blame when we fall, just to stand up back again.
Tips for prospective students i always say: you don't know until you try it and it's been a great place to start without any regret. do not give up and continue your education it is the only thing you can call yours!!
In three sentences i am a freshman and despite the fact that i don't step in a classroom in fifteen years, i feel that they are very helpful and understanding of my needs. it's been a great experience when i didn't had any expectations. it was a great place to start and i will continue to follow until i achieve what my goal with perseverance and dedication.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is always security walking around the campus making sure everything is in its place and people are safe. You feel comfortable in the campus. Its very diverse and very safety as far as I know.
What to do for fun Join the club or any organization you could be interested in that will keep you busy and fun to be in an organization, especially if you like to travel.
Academic Rigor CCD have its level where you can take accuplacer tests and see where you at. As for me I started with basics and now I'm taking college level class. It took me about two semester to finish it because I was taking like four classes every semester just to keep it simple.
Tips for prospective students Always be on time. Be prepared. Turn in your work on time before the deadline. There is always tutors where they could help you with home works. Be respectful to others. And be a good student so you could inspire those who is around you.
In three sentences Community College of Denver is where people like me should be. It helped me with furthering my education and instructors are very helpful. I love everything about CCD it just made my life more easier. So I would give it 100%.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Campus safety is a call away. They have emergency stops on campus. Their big red tubs that are there in case of an emergency. So you an use that for help. They also send out emails that let you know if something has happened so the students can be aware.
Great for these types of students Its good for all kinds of students, race does not not matter.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus When I first donated blood, that started a tradition for me and my friend. We been doing it every time the red cross goes down to campus. You can always start your own tradition.
Bang for the buck They have a gym so you don't have to pay for a membership. Only thing i dislike is that its always packed. hate that.
What to do for fun On campus their is always some kind of activity going on that you can go see. Down town is close by, for more entertainment. They also provide a gym to keep healthy, that's fun for me. Or you can hang out with friends in the grass in the campus grass.
Food and Dining There is always something to eat. On campus they have fast food, cafeterias, and stores. If you cant find something their, then there is always down town that's a stop away from campus.
Academic Rigor Other then the trouble I have had with the financial aid, i like my school. Has different ethnicity's and easy to get around. Most of the buildings are close together. Classes have the same amount of students it can fit, no more then that. It always has activities that go on for students to look forward too.
Tips for prospective students For future stuents I would tell them to get their paperwork turn in ASAP because i have had trouble with CCD's financial aid office the three years I been their. They could be more organize. If you plan to park at school, you are better of buying a parking permit because parking is ridiculous down town.
In three sentences The Community College of Denver is cheaper then other schools, recommend going their before other schools to get your basics done. Its not far from transportation, so its easy to find a way their and back. And downtown, so after school or in between classes you can always find some thing to do.

Categories Comments Campus Safety For those who must walk to their cars alone at night, there is a night rider service. If you call, they will pick you up at whatever building you are in and take you to your car anywhere on campus. Additionally, the campus police respond quickly to calls, they keep you up to date on any disturbances on campus via email or text, and have multiple locations on campus. Lastly, they have emergency call stations set all over campus and parking lots.
Clubs and Activities We have many clubs and organizations. We have a sustainable campus organization that is striving hard to improve conditions of our campus and reduce our impact on the environment. We have a very active theater club and the Confucius Institute puts on beautiful cultural shows.
Great for these types of students Anyone pursuing a 2 year degree will find this college is a great place to start out. Being a college that shares a campus with 2 other colleges, MSCD and UCD, it provides an opportunity for easy transfer to 4 year institutions.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus We are the City Hawks. Occasionally the mascot appears around campus; it is good for school pride, if not a few chuckles. Also, spring fling and fall fest happen during the semesters, giving students the opportunity to sample local vender's food and other offerings. It is a great resource opportunity.
Bang for the buck Find out what events are going on on campus. These will lead to further opportunities, anywhere from free lunch to educational and career opportunities.
What to do for fun There are many presentations and high profile speakers that come to campus. These are not only educational but fun. Many times free food is offered at events if students inquire.
Food and Dining The food and dining in the student union building has been recently re-evaluated. Good dining is available now, and in Fall new vendors will be offering even more dining selections. Filtered water fountains are now available around some of the student buildings; essentially it is free bottled water, just provide your own bottle.
Dorm Life The Community College of Denver is not affiliated with or managing any on campus housing. However there are three different college housing places nearby that they can recommend. From the students that have told me about it and from the housing websites, they are all fairly pricey, though nearby to campus.
Academic Rigor I started in remedial math, and they started exactly where I needed to start, it was a perfect pace. I took higher 200 levels in science classes and I felt that was an amazing challenge for me.
Tips for prospective students Be self motivated and show enthusiasm. The more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Be active and seek out knowledge about your school, check with your student life office, go to orientation, talk to people and enjoy your schooling.
In three sentences The teachers are very passionate and helpful. Plenty of academic career choices available and assistance is readily available, such as tutors for academics and career development.

Dorm Life Community college of Denver is located at Downtown Denver. it's really close to class and you can hanging out with your friend. Also Campus Village was extremely amazing and approriate. It's was so beautiful and It's make me want to stay there forever

Categories Comments What to do for fun We have a gym on campus with many different activities: basket ball, volley ball, soccer, swimming, rock yoga, fitness, ...
Food and Dining There are many restaurants and food courses on campus with variable kinds for you to choose. Generally, they are fantastic.
Dorm Life Rooms are in excellent condition. The environment is great.
Academic Rigor If you are a serious student, everything will be easy.
Tips for prospective students Ask great advisors to get good advice before starting your classes.
In three sentences Choosing Community College of Denver is a great start for those who want to get advanced knowledge but less money. The professors and staff here will make you comfortable with fantastic cares and concerns. This school is an important part for my bright future.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Everyone looks out for each other, but aside from that there are emergency phones everywhere on campus.
Greek Life Not much experience here, but they are always recruiting since Metro and CU are all on the same campus.
Clubs and Activities Everything from Snowboarding, Rock Climbing to Chess clubs. There are activities for every kind of student.
Great for these types of students Great for social students and anyone who wants to transfer to Metro or CU since they're on the same campus as CCD.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The campus is filled with historic sites from the first settlers who came here during the Gold Rush.
Bang for the buck Great prices, so it's a good inexpensive start before transferring to a four year college.
What to do for fun The theater on campus is always showing great indie films and documentaries. There's also a hangout room with pool tables and other games. The campus is also a short walk from Denver's major stadiums, so it's easy to go to a Rockies, Broncos, Nuggets or Avalanche game.
Food and Dining There are several kiosks around campus that offer quick bites. I also love that the vending machines on campus also offer healthy options. The main dining hall in the Tivoli offers many choices for whatever your hungry for.
Dorm Life Although I haven't experienced this from CCD, I have heard nothing but good things about it.
Academic Rigor There are courses for all levels, and if you're excelling in a particular area, some of the staff offer extra work to provide more of a challenge in their class.
Tips for prospective students Get to know the staff, and use all of the tools and programs available so it'll be easy to succeed.
In three sentences CCD has an excellent teaching staff who are dedicated to helping students succeed. The school is filled with students of all ages and ethnicity, and this gives the school a real sense of community. There is a large number of classes during the day, evening, and online, so it's easy to go to school with any hectic schedule.

Categories Comments Campus Safety I have known of a couple of incidents to happen on campus, being so close to downtown safety isn't the best.
Greek Life I wouldn't know
Clubs and Activities I don't hear much about clubs and activities.
Great for these types of students Students that use public transportation, and are looking to save some money on tuition.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus The Tivoli is where it is at
Bang for the buck CCD is definitely a cheap alternative to Universities and State Colleges.
What to do for fun CCD is conveniently located near the 16th street mall where there is food, shopping, movie theater and a bowling alley.
Food and Dining There are many restaurants near the school. If you are looking for a quick bite there is also a food court in the Tivoli.
Dorm Life There are dorms at CCD but I have never known anyone to live in them.
Tips for prospective students The Community College of Denver offers a work study program, I would recommend checking that out before taking out loans.
In three sentences The Community College of Denver is a great school for those looking for a cheaper way to get the first two years of college out of the way. It is conveniently located and is easily accessible by public transportation. Since it is a commuter school, it doesn't have that college feel so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who is looking for the typical college experience.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There helpful but since it is a huge campus be careful where you walk. They could only do so much. One way they keep everyone safe is sending out alerts through email.
Bang for the buck Really cheap for residents and great opportunities for them. Also, attending events that allow you to see famous speakers and authors for free. However, can be expensive for out-state students.
What to do for fun Sometime there are promotions of clubs and organizations that give out free food and stuff.
Food and Dining They have good areas to eat. For example the Tivoli. The Tivoli has a lot of place to eat. Ranging from McDonald's to subway to Asian cuisine. However, it is not the best thing in the world. For instance the McDonald's fries in the Tivoli taste weird. There are food trucks if your looking for something different to eat but the prices are somewhat expensive.
Academic Rigor Passable classes. Depending on the teacher you have Courses can be easy.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you know where you are going because this area holds three campuses. Do not be late for class. Enjoy the events that they put on.
In three sentences This community college is a great school for those who are looking for a way to raise their GPA. Good place to transfer from. Faculty especially from the First Generation office in the South building are willing to help.

Categories Comments Food and Dining CCD does not have a dorm style cafeteria but the food sold is a part of the Auraria campus cafeterias. The food ranges from a food court style eating area to individual restaurants.
Dorm Life There are no dorms that are associated with any of the college on the Auraria campus but there are dorm type options, such as the Regency. All of these dorm type housing options are much too expensive and you would be better off getting a few friends together and renting a house in the Denver area.
Academic Rigor CCD provides competitive work compared to other colleges. CCD is able to give a more personal feel than big colleges as many of their classes, specially science classes, are smaller.
In three sentences CCD is a great stepping stone to larger institutions. Since Auraria Campus is shared by CCD, MSCD, and UCD you get a feeling of being a part of a big institution unlike other community colleges. CCD also has partnerships with 4 year colleges/university to make the transition easy.

Categories Comments Campus Safety It's a college campus in the middle of a large metro area. That said, campus safety is fine - even fantastic - in the day time. At night, you're best staying in well-lit places. Luckily, Auraria Campus allows you to carry a licensed firearm for self-defense at nights.
Greek Life There are no mainstream fraternities to speak of. There are some honors societies - but having lived next to the biggest University in Florida for some years, I can safely say there's no real Greek Life.
Clubs and Activities CCD has a lot of extracurricular clubs and activities. Since I work full-time as well as go to school full-time, I don't get a lot of free time. But this Fall I'm getting more involved in the Confucius Institute and the international studies students. By this time next year, I hope to be visiting or studying abroad in China!
Great for these types of students Although I see a lot of young students, some fresh out of high school, I have personally found out that CCD is great for returning students. I'm in my mid 30's, but I don't feel left behind. Also the option of online courses allows me continue to work and pay bills for my family.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Not being available to join many extracurricular activities, I'm not too informed on local campus traditions. My favorite location, though, is down on the bike trail, which is sunken below an incredibly busy street and the entire downtown district. It gives you the opportunity to relax, refresh and reset with your feet in a creek between the crush of school and work.
Bang for the buck CCD has got to be one of the most useful community colleges I've ever seen. With General Education courses, you can get lost in the crowd - but the professors in your core studies will always learn your name.
What to do for fun CCD has a lot of intramural sports. It's also next to the largest performing arts center in Colorado. And it shares a parking lot with Elitch Gardens amusement park.
Food and Dining The Tivoli Center has a small food court - but CCD is three blocks away from the 16th Street Mall, which features a variety of restaurants, Food Trucks and street vendors. Also, if the vending machines eat your money - go to the Tivoli Center and get an instant refund.
Dorm Life I don't believe CCD offers housing. Regardless, I live just off-campus. There's plenty of nice low-rent apartments in the immediate area. And if not, the Auraria Campus is at the hub of the Denver Metro Mass Transit.
Academic Rigor Just because the courses are online doesn't mean you can wait til finals week. You're expected to contribute to the collective progress of class, but its more like a Reddit forum than just a bunch of emails. Same participation requirement, but you can do it in your underwear.
Tips for prospective students Parking is scarce and expensive - buy a bike, take the light rail or get a scooter. Get every shred of paperwork done at least 30 days prior to the start of the semester, people die of old age waiting in line at the Registrar's and Financial Aid office until drop/add is over. Look up cultural freebies offered by the Auraria Campus; I take a Tai Chi class and a conversation Chinese class - all for free.
In three sentences Thus far, I take my Gen Ed online and only my core classes in design on campus. The design school has very well trained staff and cutting edge technology. A professional architect I met downtown even said the Design School at CCD is better than the Graduate Program across the street at CU Denver.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck With your tuition you have access to the rec center, labs, and also receive free public transit.
What to do for fun On campus there is the Starz Film Center where they have premiers and film festivals. There are also some cool places to hang out at the student union building. It's also located in Downtown Denver, so there is just about anything you could want to do for fun within walking distance.
Food and Dining The Tivoli Student Union building has a good food court, there is an Einstein's Bagels, and there are always good food trucks.
Dorm Life There are no dorms for the community college.
Academic Rigor The professors that teach here often teach for MSU and UCD as well so they will be similar to university standards.
Tips for prospective students This school is in a great location, and has everything that you need. It is located on the same campus as two universities so you still have the big school feel, with the small, intimate classes that make it worth while. Just watch out, if you're under 23 Colorado state law says that you are still a dependent, so that might take some work to gain residency.
In three sentences This is a very diverse campus located in Downtown Denver. The professors are great, and the small class environment creates a positive learning environment. I would recommend this school to anybody trying to start college off cheap.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There is a campus wide notification system to notify you of problems that maybe going on on campus. It is a great tool to stay safe.
Greek Life None
Great for these types of students This is a great option for working adults looking to go back to school to earn a degree. It is an easier transition than a lecture hall of 150 students. You can adapt to studying again while having access to your professor.
Bang for the buck It is half the price for your core courses, compared to the pricing of Colorado University of Denver. Plus, I have some of the same instructors that teach at Denver.
What to do for fun Downtown Denver, so much to explore.
Food and Dining There are several options at CCD. There are several stands on campus. As well as the food court in Tivoli Student Union and Einsteins on the 9th st mall.
Dorm Life Community College of Denver does not have dorms, however, you may be eligible for student housing through Auraria Campus.
Academic Rigor Overall the professors that I have had are willing to work and help you with assignments. Which makes it easy if you do the work. They also offer assistance by providing free math tutors.
Tips for prospective students Do not take science lab courses online, the lab portion is extremely hard and there is no hands on learning option. You must memorize all the slides from viewing them on a computer screen and not by actually viewing them in real life.
In three sentences Overall, the Community College of Denver provides a great environment to learn. Professors are hands on and class sizes are small. Tuition is reasonable for the quality of education that you receive.

Categories Comments Campus Safety They are usually pretty quick to respond when called, but forget trying to go to their office in the student center. They are NEVER there.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Tivoli Student Center.
Bang for the buck It's community college. It's supposed to be cheaper. And it truly is affordable.
What to do for fun Walk around the Tivoli Student Center! It is a huge 6 story building that used to be a brewery! They have an arcade, a theater, and a billiard room. It's also got a bunch of places to eat. It's a great building!
Food and Dining I haven't personally eaten on campus but they have a lot to choose from. There are restaurants in the Student Center and little vendors throughout the campus and in the buildings.
Dorm Life I do not currently live in the dorms. I am a commuter.
Academic Rigor Teachers try to make work challenging but not difficult.
Tips for prospective students You'll really succeed here if you are on top of everything. You have to look for a list of required classes and make sure to register for the classes you want soon because classes with prime time slots fill up quick.
In three sentences When attending Community College of Denver you really have to be on top of things yourself. When you select your major, they do not provide you with a list of required courses for that major; you have to search their website for a list of courses that you need to take. However the teachers are awesome and seem to really care about the success of their students.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students students that are social and book smart alike. all types are able to flourish in an environment so geared towards their students.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus the campus has many little nooks and crannies where you can duck away for a nap. although, with colorado's beautiful weather you may find yourself napping under a tree on the grass. The school is alive with music, live performance, protests, awareness booths, and countless other attractions. Food trucks and carts are often on campus.
Bang for the buck great education for a very reasonable price. financial aid is here and takes time. plan accordingly.
What to do for fun socielize. get out there, see denver. denvcer is a gigantic melting pot, the art musuem, the denver public library, the melting pot fondue resturant, live music everywhere, the santa fe art district, too many places to name.
Food and Dining plenty of stuff around campus to eat. very diverse choices, considering that downtown is only a 5 minute walk away. on campus at the famous tivoli the food court offers many options as well. vending machines are always accessible. for all you coffee drinkers, don't worry, coffee is easily accessible and starbucks is not far at all.
Dorm Life i do not live on the campus. however, i have many friends that do, and have stayed in the dorms. campus village is a great place to start looking.
Academic Rigor the work is only rigorous if you tell yourself it is. the school strongly emphasizes academia as well as involvement with your fellow student, staff, and overall campus.
Tips for prospective students enroll is tedious and exhausting. it is made simply online but only if you read carefully, check your account daily, be on your email everyday, and integrate it with your day to day life.
In three sentences ccd does offer students the opportunity to succeed but only if they want to. it shares a campus with both ucd and msu which allows students to easily take advantage of other curriculums available. ccd is a positive way for a person, man or woman, of any background or age to succeed, but only if he or she wants to.

In three sentences a good school for people looking to get back on track with their education. the teachers are typically very down to earth and understand that you may be here because it is the only option due to work or family schedule. the staff could be a little more helpful at the financial aid office but the advisers will help you every step of the way.

Categories Comments Campus Safety The community College of Denver is not only located downtown where there are the Denver police if there is a situation, but we also have our own police. Our Auria police's building is located on campus and will respond to a special phone number or phone that is located around campus in case of an emergency. When something happens on campus every student is informed by email so they can be aware of what is going on around campus.
Clubs and Activities There are a lot of clubs at C.C.D. My friend just recently started an environmentalist group that helps protect the environment. There are also other groups that play sports like basket ball, volley ball, soccer, and more.
Great for these types of students The Community College of Denver is a great school for any student who is determined in getting a degree or transferring.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus On top of the library and computer labs there are a variety of fountains and parks you can study or get together with friends at.
Bang for the buck The Community College of Denver is a not only a fun environment to learn in, but the professor's are also very nice. So if you do not understand what to do on an assignment you can ask and they will explain it. If you are having trouble out side of class you can just send them an email and they will reply as soon as they can. This helps to ensure that you always are on top of your game. You will never feel like the person that does not know what they are doing.
What to do for fun For fun me and my friends help each other study. We build support groups to help each other get through subjects we struggle with and help tutor each other when one of us is better at a subject. Aside from studying there is always a new event going on around campus.
Food and Dining The food is mainly located in the Tivoli Student union. Our food consists of a variety of different food places similar to a food court. I have heard from a few people that the Pizza place located next to the Career Center is on of the best places to eat, although I have never been.
Dorm Life At C.C.D we do not have dorms, but I prefer that. I prefer not to live in a dorm because I have a few friends that have lived in dorms and negative things have come from it like drama, lack of sleep, and partying instead of studying. These things have all lead to my friends having lower grades.
Academic Rigor At C.C.D the classes are not just lecture after lecture. The professors work hard to provide the students with a challenging curriculum to engage the students with their lessons. This helps the students get involved with their work and learn it rather then listen and memorize it.
Tips for prospective students Something I would want to tell prospective students is that going to a University might seem more fun, but it isn't always the right way to go about obtaining a higher education. One quality C.C.D has that a University does not is it is affordable. This is important because people that start college and are eager to get a degree may not always be able to afford it.
In three sentences I think the Community College of Denver is an excellent place to further your education. C.C.D has a friendly environment which make it easy to meet new people on campus and try new things. An other unique quality the Community College of Denver has is that it is located on the same campus as Metropolitan and U.C.D. which give us different opportunities then a typical community college.

Categories Comments Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs has a stand on campus next to the Tivoli, really good dogs. My favorite is the Wild Boar Sausage Dog.
What to do for fun There is an arcade room in the Tivoli, a free gym, and if you got time between classes it is a 5 minute walk from downtown denver.
Food and Dining The caffeteria is decent but what I enjoy the most is how they let a variety of food trucks onto campus with different kinds of food.
Academic Rigor It is strict but it gives the opportunity to redeem yourself after a disappointing semester.
Tips for prospective students Having age variety in class gives you the opportunity to see different kinds of views you wouldn't have thought of, listen to what all the classmates have to say.
In three sentences I rate this college a 8 out of 10. The college has well educated teachers that relate real life experiences to what is currently being taught. Everyone is helpful and advisers set you on the right path to meet your personal educational goals.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Even though you are in Downtown Denver I have to say it is really safe. If anything happens the campus immediately sends out an emergency emails and texts to keep everyone informed. They really do care about your well being.
Greek Life I'm not the best to answer this one. I have not personally checked into it. I would encourage again to contact the student center.
Clubs and Activities There are many different clubs and activities. I would encourage you to contact the student center.
Great for these types of students Any student who is working for their future and wants a great environment and a great place to be.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus I don't know of any, but if you look on google maps you might spot something interesting on the ground. It's painted on the walkways. This could also help you check out they campus!!!
Bang for the buck I feel that the education you get is great and the costs are lower than a four year university. You can get your Associates at a more reasonable cost and truly find what you want to do before paying the extra costs from a university. I feel its a great way to go.
What to do for fun This is another great part of being Downtown. There is the theater district. You have Coors Field to watch a Rockies game. The Pepsi Center where the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche play. There are plenty of clubs, comedy clubs and many other forms of entertainment all around you.
Food and Dining Since you are in Downtown Denver anything you could ever want to eat is there. They do have good accommodations on campus. Or a short walk your dining options are endless.
Dorm Life I didn't live in a dorm as it is not required for this school. Though there is a lot of student housing options for anyone on the campus.
Academic Rigor Everyone will find what is easy and challenging for themselves. It is a Community College, but is designed for you to transfer straight to a four year school. I have found that the professors will work with you, but ultimately are striving to give you the best education possible.
Tips for prospective students Ask questions. Find what interests you. Talk to advisers, transfer center and anyone else. College is a big step and hard work. Make sure that what you want to do can carry/transfer with you. Most important, make it what you want.
In three sentences Vibrant place that has the benefit of three schools on one campus. In downtown Denver with all the energy you could imagine. A place that helps inspire learning and a yearning of more of what life has to offer.

Categories Comments Clubs and Activities There are many different clubs and organization associated with this school. Interested parties can join clubs like Urban Male Initiative, Phi Theta Kappa, or Student Government (just to name a few). This college also has it very own newspaper organization which keeps the students in tune with valuable information and upcoming events.
Great for these types of students This school is a fit for anyone. It is the most diverse campus in the state.
Bang for the buck Community college is recommended for anyone who is on a budget, or has limited financial resources. Convenient transportations passes are included in the tuition costs which provide students a simple way to experience the entire city.
What to do for fun This school is located in downtown Denver, and shares campus with two other colleges. Many student and community events are held on campus and near campus. Activities and events are held almost on a weekly basis and provide entertainment for students and their families. Event types range, from theater and art exhibits to hip-hop conferences. Denver city is known for its cultural entertainment, and this campus is at the heart of it.
Food and Dining A variety of on and off campus options for food, and vendor trucks often visit the campus. Price is not always reasonable.
Dorm Life Student housing is provided off campus by student housing companies. Not a typical dorm environment.
Tips for prospective students Preparation is essential and researching your degree prior to registration is important. As with all colleges they have a certain quota to meet, as it is a business, and occasionally students have been misdirected. Plan your courses according to your own specific goals and utilize all scholarship opportunities. A community college is highly recommended for those individuals entering into the environment for the first time, or for those who are on a budget.
In three sentences The college has a variety of structured courses to meet the needs of many students in various degree programs. It is not considered to be an overly challenging academic environment. Fees are slightly high, but affordable considering the alternative.
