At Elmhurst College you have to know how to pick your community. There are several pockets of school and large pockets of students (As the school Chaplain called them) that did not appreciate the idea of having a diverse campus and made it very clear that, that was so. Also Elmhurst is set in a very small, sleepy sort of town, which can be nice but is not very stimulating. I liked my friends and a few (3) of the teachers but that's about it. read full review

My freshman year, I did not enjoy the school all that much, the gen eds were kinda lame, and I just didn't want to be there..but this year I have gotten into classes that are primarily for my major (English & Secondary Education) and I LOVE it. read full review
