  • Dec-26-2011 I am researching this school and have visited the campus

The atmosphere is laid back, and the people are always so kind. The only thing that stinks is the fact that as a town, Emporia can be quite boring.

I'm a Resident Assistant in the dorms, so I obviously love being on campus, seeing as I hardly ever leave. ESU has a gorgeous campus and while Emporia is definitely a smaller town, it has a ton of great stuff to do around town, such as the Granada Theatre, UAC events on campus, and nightlife.

I just love it here! I think that it is a great place to be, and a good change of pace for me. I enjoy being here, and living in the dorms is great. I have met a lot of new people, and for not being the most outgoing person, I feel as though I know a significant amount of people here. It's super!

To be concise, I am having the time of my life right now. I'm learning new things, I'm active in several clubs, I am meeting awesome people, and have a great educational program. It's so nice having the independence of being in the dorms also, but not having to worry about bills like you would have living in a house or apartment.

As far as enjoyment goes I have never been happier in a town. The people of Emporia are friendly and outgoing. The nightlife is awesome. Coles, beer 30, and despoes just to name a few are great places to hangout during the weekend. As a freshman The dorms are the place to be, you can get a suite or a two person room. living in the dorms is like a big party all your friends are a few steps away. The campus is beautiful. You will never have a dull moment at Emporia state university
