    Live on campus the first year and do extra-curricular activities! Use Rate My Professor and always go to class. Teachers will work with those who put in the effort.

    Make sure to get involved on campus with things such as clubs or Greek life and become the best member you can. GSU has molded me as a leader, but you must go out and take chances for yourself. Lastly, this isn't high school. Studying a night or hour before the test will ensure a poor grade.

    I advise not to get caught up in the thrill of being on your own and partying all the time. In the long run, this will be detrimental to your success here and not worth everything you are working towards. Also don't skip class! It can be so tempting to just stay in the dorm and nap or watch TV but in the end which is more important?
