    If you are considering applying to Hartwick, you have to realize that because this is a private college the classes are difficult and you need to develop good study habits. You really have to learn good time management skills and study skills. Try not to be too studious and have fun! College is about discovering who you are as a person and it is okay to struggle your first year, it is expected.

    Well first be ready to walk up a lot of hills. Don't be afraid to talk to your advisors and faculty, everyone is willing to help the students out. People are very friendly at Hartwick. Also, be ready to learn because the faculty are very involved.

    -Apply early for plenty scholarships to build up funds before entering college. (Books are not cheap neither is gas) -Build a relationship with the department of your major and get involved with as much as possible. -Get involved with internships by sophomore or junior year.
