Join organizations and read flyers around campus because all organizations host events like parties, skating nights, cafe nights, and so on. Hookah is a staple for students at Howard, and Washington, D.C. has tons of attractions (many of which are free) such as the national monuments, China Town shops, Adams Morgan cafes and hookah lounges, and much more. Get out and explore D.C. The Metro transit system is super fast, efficient, and affordable for travel throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Party, party, party! There are a lot of parties on thursdays, fridays, and saturdays. There are never parties during the week. Homecoming is always super fun as well. If there are any banquets or balls or other events, you should always attend.

There are so many organizations available on Howard's campus. Likewise there are many social functions that take place, and everyone is so friendly. Its very easy to have fun and get involved on and around campus.

Living in DC, there is a plethora of entertainment options for every taste. There are all ages lounges, night clubs, hipster coffee houses with poetry slams, art galleries, shopping centers, movie theatres, huge music venues, cultural hot spots, museums, the annual Spring Cherry Blossom Festival, and of course, political events. Whatever experience you would like to have at Howard University, you can â?? although, much of it is pricey.

There are many fun things to do on campus and off campus! On campus, there is a bowling alley downstairs from the cafeteria where Howard tends to throw events with free food and good music. Also, there is a swimming pool on campus and a gym if your one who loves to keep fit! Off of campus you can take the bus or the metro to a movie theater in Gallery Place or stop at some of the lovely museums such as the Spy museum.

Howard University never slacks in the department of fun. There is always something to do or an event happening on campus. Our greek life is also a large part of the school's history.
