The local community of Arcata in Humboldt county has proven to be one that promotes individual and community growth. The university has been a very enthusiastic environment for its students to work in. I have enjoyed the student communities as well as the relationships I have built with my professors. I am extremely grateful for the relationships between the departments that help make every class reach beyond the individual disciplinary boundaries.

I love it here. Since the campus is smaller, you have an easier time asking the teachers for help or asking the kids in your class to start a study group, trust me I'm pretty shy when it comes to those things, but I still feel comfortable. The town that the school is in is cute and there are things to do, you just have to go on an adventure.
