Take scholarships seriously! That will also lower the cost. Do not buy your books from the campus bookstores. I bought mine from amazon for way cheaper. Also, approach IU with a serious mindset. I messed up my first semester grades because I thought I could treat college like high school. IU's classes are harder than most expect.

Take on what you know you can handle; this goes for academics and clubs/teams/etc. Lastly, don't be afraid to try new things. IU is really rich in culture and you should take advantage of it. You start living when you leave your comfort zone.
