Categories Comments Am learning a lot Loras is a great liberal arts college. I love the variety of classes they have and how challenging each class is. The people are friendly although there are a lot of sports jocks. The teachers have been incredibly caring and understanding and really help students that are in need.

Great for these types of students Any!
Bang for the buck Great environment and place to be!
What to do for fun Walk downtown, go to the movies, go to the mall, Riverwalk, Mississippi Museum, and drive to Illinois or Wisconsin.
Food and Dining Food is pretty good. Not a whole lot of variety.
Dorm Life Dorms are fairly small and they lack air conditioning.
Academic Rigor Depending on your major, the work load can be tough.
Tips for prospective students Loras offers great professor and student contact hours. If you are worried about a class at all, talking to your professor will make you feel at ease. Loras also offers many different activities and clubs to get involved in.
In three sentences Loras is a small school offering many opportunities to get involved. Having a smaller campus allows close contact with professors. It is also very easy to get involved in almost anything desired.

Categories Comments What to do for fun There are numerous sporting events to attend on campus and many events put on by our College Activities Board. Dance Marathon is a huge event that happens once a year at Loras that is a lot of fun. There is a mall, numerous restaurants, and a few parks close by as well.
Food and Dining The food is average. There is quite a bit of variety, as there is a buffet-style cafe, the pub, and the market, where you can get coffee and smoothies as well as frozen food and snacks.
Dorm Life The residence halls are very comfortable at Loras. Most of the time, it seems like everyone has there doors open. There is a basement and a lobby in almost every residence hall where groups of people can get together.
Academic Rigor Certain classes at Loras are more challenging than others. If you do your homework, study for tests and quizzes, and actually put effort into the class, you will be fine. Teachers are always friendly and willing to help!
Tips for prospective students If you are thinking about attending Loras College, make sure you explore the campus and go on an over-night visit. It is also a good idea to sit in on a couple of classes geared towards first-year students.
In three sentences I absolutely love Loras College. The campus is pretty small, but it is easy to feel at home here where the students and faculty are all very friendly and welcoming. There are plently of activities to get involved in at Loras College ranging from sports activities to academic clubs.

Categories Comments Bang for the buck It's great of the merit scholarship as soon as you join.
What to do for fun look, and you will find something you enjoy, either on campus or as one of the events going on in town
Food and Dining I don't know, but they're getting a Papa John's put in by the sounds of it
Dorm Life I don't know what the dorm life is like, yet.
Academic Rigor I do not know yet, but I know it will be a challenge
In three sentences It's a great homy feeling type of college. It has one of the best teaching programs in the area, which is what I'm majoring in. Also it's great of the technology that is used, in fact when I go, my class will be the first ones to get the brand new laptop/tablet computers

Categories Comments Campus Safety Security officers are around, but they aren't in your face all the time.
Greek Life I don't know anything about the greek life at Loras.
Clubs and Activities There are many clubs around Loras. I believe we have over fourty to choose from, I would personally recommend Mock Trial, the coach is amazing. Judo is also fun.
Great for these types of students Social, education oriented, pretty much any student can find a place at Loras.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus We have zombies vs humans when people wear bandannas and 'tag' each other if they are zombies. I didn't play this year because of a bad knee, but it looks really fun.
Bang for the buck I love everything about Loras. The best part is how nice the professors are. They are willing to help any time one needs them.
What to do for fun The CAB office comes up with a lot of fun activities for students. In the past year we have had comedians, lazer tag, game nights, zombies vs humans, movie nights, and much more. They also have a dance marathon every year for children at St Jude's, that's really fun I've heard.
Food and Dining It's not the best food, but its pretty good. We just got a papa johns pizza place, so that's pretty neat. And oddly enough, the cafeteria is good.
Dorm Life I live off campus, so I do not know much about the dorm life. But because I live off campus, I miss a lot of things.
Academic Rigor Loras is not too challenging, however, it is still challenging enough. There is a lot of papers to write, but it's manageable if you make sure to watch your time. You get what grade you want by working for it.
Tips for prospective students Ask about shortcuts. There are many ways to get around campus, but you have to find them. Make sure to also schedule time for yourself, or else you will burn out.
In three sentences I love going to Loras. The professors are very knowledgeable and great at what they do, teaching! The only 'bad' thing about Loras is that it is not a very good campus for those with physical disabilities.
