I am not yet attending, but the entire application and waiting process was very pleasing. It very fast (I was notified within 2 weeks). The communications between counselors and the admissions office was always very polite and immediate. I always received a response to my questions the same day. It is a very nice small college, smaller than most high schools. The professor reviews are great, and I think it will be an altogether amazing experience. read full review

Montreat is a fairly expensive school (~$30,00) but it may be worth it depending on what you want. The cons are that the campus has a ton of mold in both the dormitories and some of the other buildings (McLeod, for instance) and that it is in need of some repairs (Anderson Dorm needs to be knocked out and rebuilt). The pros, for me, outweigh the cons: the professors are great, the staff is incredibly helpful, the campus itself is small enough to be a real community and, to top it all off, it is nestled right in the mountains. Some of the most breathtaking sights I've seen have been of the black mountains around here. read full review
