    Please check your degree programs and stay on top of your credit hours. Join a mentoring group, so you can have another student help you learn about the campus and how college systems work. Have all of your funding planned before attending reaching the best option for your budget.

    When you come, come prepared. Any college is a big step up from high school and should not be taken lightly. College requires a lot of time and effort. The first semester can be rough but as I've said they have helpful resources in just about every area- USE THEM!

    Do as much research as you can to make sure this, or any, school has or is exactly what you're looking for. Read everything; emails, brochures, odu.edu, etc. Try to be figure out what you want to do in college, major wise especially. Be prepared and take it seriously.

    For those wishing to attend, I recommend that you learn what is most important to you. There are plenty of distractions at ODU because of the city in which it is located. Just remember that you are here to get your educations first, the partying can come later.
