SUNY Albany is a great place to learn. There are more than 100 majors available. International students are attracted to the business majors available and there are great programs available to enter. Some examples of programs a Ualbany student could get into (with the appropriate GPA and course of study) are the 2+2 law program, the Physician Assistant Program, Dental, Physical Therapy and the school's association with Albany Medical College.
In terms of classroom comfort, for a large institution, UA is a pretty comfortable settings. Warning here though: most freshmen with intended majors are put into large lecture halls with other students of the same.similar major, so be aware that the lecture halls could be crowded. It is competitive, so try your best to be top dog and always make sure you show yourselves to the teachers, because you don't want to be ignored in a crowd of 100-300 students. read full review

If you want to learn and have fun, Albany is where to be. We're only a couple hours from NYC. The only thing you really do need to know is to bring fans for the summer and extra warm clothes and blankets for the winter because it gets incredible cold! Rain boots are a good investment as well. I thought I might be able to get away with not getting a pair but I definitely regretted it after all the rain and snow accumulation. read full review
