I've been a workstudy in the Administration building for two years, so I have lots of advice for prospective students. First of all, if you want to speak to Financial Aid or the Registration office, it's best to go there in person since the phone-lines get pretty busy. But if you're from out of state, then I would recommend calling before the busiest moments of the year, which is usually during the first few weeks of each quarter. My second piece of advice is: Ratemyprofessor.com is your friend. Third, check Amazon.com for cheaper textbooks before you decide to buy in the bookstore. Fourth, bring lunch to school, you'll save lots of money in the end. Fifth, get to know your professors during the first few weeks of the quarter.
