The town of Ashland has a lot of art and music. There are great places to hike and do fun outdoor activities. You can also catch a great theatre show at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

There are plenty of hikes within walking distance of the campus which offer a great view of Ashland and the Rogue Valley. SOU has an on campus rock climbing gym which is well maintained and always has new routes.

There is a lot to do here! There are parks near by, we have an awesome gym to work out in, we have a swimming pool, and an awesome rockwall. Also the outdoors program does tons of fun trips for students all year long from skiing to rafting.

Join clubs and attend on-campus activities. There is usually at least two big events occurring every weekend and always something happening during the day. The downtown area of Ashland is also very fun to wander around with friends.

Hiking, biking, skiing or snowboarding at Mount Ashland, walking downtown, etc. There are lots of active people that live in Ashland.

There are tons of activities in Ashland and the Rogue Valley area. Especially if you are into the out doors. Lots of snow boarding as well as camping, fishing, and hiking
