After not being able to afford the University of Tennessee at Knoxville because of the cost of tuition, I came to UTC. I could not have made a better choice. Everything is less expensive. Not only is it less expensive but you get more for your money. A smaller campus means more individual attention from professors if you need it. The 'dorms' aren't the typical dorms. All of them feature two bedrooms, a bathroom (with 2 sinks) a full kitchen, living room and storage space. They come furnished with all kitchen appliances (stove top, microwave, refrigerator, sink and toaster oven), 2 beds, 2 desks, 2 dressers and 2 closets in each room, a kitchen table with 4 chairs, a couch and a chair for the living room. Each room has Internet and cable. The brand new gym is free anytime you want to go-it has all machines, basketball courts, rock climbing wall, etc. The campus if full of life everywhere you go and the little expense it costs is worth the price. read full review

I LOVE being here. The dorms are some of the best in the state. Having apartment style rooms is great because students can cook, and not have to feel crammed in a tiny room to eat, sleep, and study in. The campus is not too big, but not too small. Having 10,000 is a great size. The campus is fairly compact so one can get anywhere in only a few minutes, but don't push it (I've tried, not recommended ;) There are tons of ways to get involved, intramurals, clubs to fit any personality and greek life are all popular choices. Greek life is much more relaxed than other schools, so give it a try! read full review
