The atmosphere of UTEP is very non-threatening, peaceful and beautiful which then tends to rub off on the students. The students are very friendly and welcoming which makes UTEP feel like home. However, UTEP is a commuter school and is undergoing plenty of construction at the moment which complicates things a little bit. Many people will seem busy but try and reach out to make friends. You won't regret it.
