Take the SAT and ACT as many times as possible, sign up for as many APs as YOU CAN HANDLE. Georgia is extremely selective these days. The average GPA for incoming freshman in 2009 is 3.9 with a 1300 SAT and 30 ACT score. It is important to take the standardized tests as much as possible to get the best score you can. Also, UGA wants to see that you are challenging yourself. APs are the best way to do so. And the more hours you have coming in as a freshman, the easier your life will be. You can sign up for classes earlier, change majors and still have lots of wiggle room, and even get better dibs on football tickets. read full review

UGA is just so much fun! I honestly feel like every day is an adventure! There is ALWAYS something to do here! There are always free concerts (last year we had both T-Pain and Soulja Boy perform), Dawgs After Dark (this is basically a free carnival for students. There has been food, Build-A-Bear, ice skating, Ferris wheels and other rides, kayaking, and so much more! It happens about twice a semester and usually goes from 10pm to 2am. The best part is, it's all FREE!) There are what seems like thousands of student organizations to get involved in, and of course, everyone will have a great time with the sports offered at UGA. The University of Georgia is a key player athletically in the SEC and the NCAA. Our football team is outstanding and the games are a blast to attend! It's so exciting! Our baseball and softball teams are both REALLY good. Basketball is pretty good..the games are always fun to attend and a lot of times, they give students free t-shirts. I have even received a free Popsicle at a basketball game before! The Gym Dawgs (our gymnastics team) is PHENOMINAL! They always win the NCAA championships! Their meets are very exciting to attend!
The food at UGA is also amazing! I can't think of any other school that does food and meal plans as well as UGA does. There are four dining halls for students to choose from any time they want to eat. We even have one dining hall that is open 24 hours a day! Also, at UGA we have unlimited meal plans. This means you can go to the dining hall as many times in one day as u like! If u want to go to a dining hall after every single class, you can do it! You have unlimited visits to the dining halls! Sometimes, there are even live musicians inside the dining halls while u eat! It's really cool! Last, but certainly not least, UGA students do have a great time at parties :)
...Needless to say, I am really enjoying my time at UGA! read full review
