Around Town

There are tons of great restaurants downtown, which is walking distance from campus. There are also tons of parks to hang out outside at. Basketball games are a must, and there are tons of other great sports events to attend. There are horse races, movie theaters, and the mall is less than 10 minutes away.

Make some friends!! Don't be afraid to talk to a stranger - trust me when I say that friends will make your life way easier in college than trying to do it alone.

There are always something going on on-campus. To stay in the loop, stop by the Student Center.

Hang out in the dorms, go to the arboretum, go to any sporting event, get involved on campus. Lexington has a lot of opportunities located near campus so just get out and talk to people who have been around a while to find out the secret fun spots.

For fun I recommend going to parties hosted by fraternities, CSF, or simply friends around you. Find where you fit in and you will have fun no matter what.

There are always school sponsored philanthropy events held to keep students active.

There is always something to do at UK! Whether it's a basketball game, a student-organized event, or a social club, something is always happening on campus.

Hit up the mall and many other boutiques. Go to tin roof and listen to live music or go to Redmons and experience Sundy Best, the up and coming country group.

Hookah bars, frat parties, house parties, studying lol. And the Johnson center is great!

Go watch the basketball team at the arena!! Greek life looks interesting. G ointo town, Lexington is beautiful. Go hiking. Hey watch a horse race.
