Overview of University of Nevada-Las Vegas

I enjoy being a student at UNLV because of all the resources, connections, and the experiences that I have gained. Each and every day is always interesting and different.

The offered extracurricular activities are so much, it' hard to pick just one or two. Students are able to attempt leadership roles at first experience and meet friends in class and outside of class.

I hated UNLV with a passion. Generally, I don't find that the major problem with an institution is the support staff, but it is here. The professors need work, but there are some great classes. However, the support staff is by far the worst of any school I have heard of. For example, there are 3-4 counselors that work in the financial aid office at a time. The problem is that there are 30,000 students. There simply are not enough people working in these offices to help the number of students at the school. I also found that the ones that are working there, often know very little about UNLV policies. I spent 6 months trying to get my graduation application to go through because I was the only one that actually knew the policies regarding transfer students.

i actually like attending here. the campus is nice and big and there is a whole lot to do. it is pretty easy to get involved in school.

To be honest, this was my last choice on my list. However, you have to make the most of your college experience. If you are a Las Vegas resident who is unable to go out of state for college, try UNLV and try to make it an enjoyable experience for yourself. It wouldn't hurt to try!
