In the beginning, I felt a little lonely and missed my support network from back home. Then, I opened up a little and was lucky enough to be placed in the dorm I was placed in! Everyone was super friendly. I ended up joining a form of government and made friends from there. The general Eugene ambience is like an open notebook waiting to be written in! Each path you choose is yours and yours only-your family and friends aren't there to share their input with you. Everyone is super friendly in Eugene and open-minded so I suggest if you are open-minded to things, then consider Eugene! There are all different types of people there and at first-like most freshmen- I feared I wouldnt' find the amazing people I met in high school, but I did! Like a vending machine, you get what you put into!
