College is amazing. It makes all that high school crap worth it. UR is a fun place where you can stay on campus all the time and get that once-in-a-lifetime collegiate living feel. As long as you know what to do with your time, it's never boring. (Example: do homework randomly when there's nothing else to do, and when you have the option of hanging and having fun, you can without depriving yourself of too much sleep.)

I have met plenty of great people and joined cool student organizations which help me to enjoy the environment. The city of Rochester has plenty of nice restaurants and the Strong Museum of Play is amazinggggg!!!! The only negative thing for me was the weather. Being from California it was a little tough to get used to the east coast snow and it does snow for most of the school year but once you get over that it will be a very enjoyable experience.
