“freshman year in the dorms could be great, or horrible. it is so important that you get along with your roommate because that can make or break your year.…”
“the older dorms smell bad and you hear horror stories of the ways they are falling apart. however, the university has a lot of plans to renovate many of the…”
“most of the dorms are really nice and are green certified. most are also apartment style where you may have four people to a room. some dorms have individual bedrooms…”
“dorm life depends on which residence hall you live in. traditional style dorms (south tower, bates, etc) have hall bathrooms, while suite style dorms (capstone, patterson, etc) have two rooms…”
The food itself is pretty good, but the meal plan is a pain sometimes, and the hours dining halls are open on weekends sucks. During the week, you can find food on campus until 3AM, on weekends however, there are 2 places open and they close at 9 PM.
» Read MoreThe food gets old really fast. There are many choices, but the meal plans are expensive. The are also healthier choices besides fast food and some dining halls are open past midnight.
» Read MoreTons of Food. Prepare to gain that freshman 15!
» Read MoreMany great places to eat on campus, but the meal plan situation needs improvement. Students are only allowed to use meal swipes at certain times which means that if you use your lunch swipe at 11 am., you can't you another meal swipe until dinner which starts at 4pm. I do believe the school needs to recreate the meal plan system, but the restaurants on campus are overall really good.

» Read MoreThere is always something good to eat. Many students frequent the fast food in Russell House, but there are also Colloquium Cafe, Einstein's Bagels, and other restaurants close to campus for every mood.
» Read MoreUSC has a large variety of different dining places and some ran by the hospitality students which is great for everyone. The food is amazing and there is a fast food court upstairs above the main cafeteria if one is in a rush. There are a variety of healthy eating spots as well so ladies can avoid the freshman 15!
» Read MoreThere are some amazing restaurants on campus. Cafe Verde is a hidden gem, filled with delicious sandwiches. Einstein's bagels is always a hit, luckily there are two on campus. Santorini's is also very authentic and delicious.
» Read MoreRussell House, the student union, has basically everything you could want. Einstein's Bagels, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Chik-fil-a, Burger King, a deli, a grill, etc. There are also many small cafe's and shops that are great to grab lunch at between classes.

» Read MoreThe Greek life here is great many of opportunities to get involved with.
» Read MoreI am not USC Greek Life's biggest fan. Sororities are overly picky during rush and then by the end find out they do not have enough pledges because girls drop out after being chosen at the last minute when they could have given a chance to a girl who actually wanted it.

» Read MoreGreek life is big here, not as big as some of the other schools but it does have a lot of members. Most of the fraternity guys are extremely awkward and only speak when drunk, but a majority of the sorority girls are nice and excited to get new members. However, as on any campus each organization has a reputation, I recommend going into rush blind so that you truly pick the house you like best, not who's likely untrue reputation you like the best.
