I few tips that I wish I had before I came to the University of the Virgin Islands are: 1. Choose an academic major in your first year, going undecided can waste you time and if you plan on changing your major, that's not that difficult. 2. When you choose your major (final decision), in depth research all requirements and prerequisites for that major because the general UVI courses and your specialized degree major is largely different. This might sound like a normal thing to do but there are more courses available and required than what your normal paradigm might include. 3. Contact your adviser immediately, their all knowledgeable on what your specific degree program is and can help you in many areas even outside of academics. read full review
