Around Town

Fun is a word that is all over WCC. This college has tons of fun things to do while on campus. There is the commons area where most students hang out between classes and where they play pool and ping pong. Also there are many club meetings that are free to join and are always welcoming new members. Activities are found throughout campus and are enjoyable to all student.

They is a lot of clubs to get involved in. There is a track on campus, tennis courts, a stage, playground, a swing, and many more nice things.

There are several after school hours activities provided by the college, but it is nothing compared to what you would get at a university.

Me and my friends go to W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir a lot to hang out. We like to go fishing there and just hang out. We just go and drive around a lot and take random roads and see where it takes us, it is so much fun! We have drove to Rendezvous Mountain. We go out to eat a lot and we like to try places like Glenn's which is a cafe type restaurant where supposedly Dolly Parton has came and ate. We have a commons room where a lot of people tend to hang out at. Occasionally we will go and work out in their gym. When Merlefest comes to Wilkes students love to come to it. There truly is a lot of things to do around and at Wilkes Community for fun.

Wilkes Community College has events on a monthly basis, such as Spring Fest, Winter Fest, MerleFest, and karaoke nights.
