Most of the time it is a great place to be, but it is pretty boring around here. Everything is a drive away and then there really isn't to much to do. If you are looking for a busy school with tons of places to hang out Wingate may not be for you. read full review

Scholarships! If you attend this school, unless you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, scholarships will be SO helpful. Especially during times like last semester where the NC Legislature voted to lower their funding by $100. It may not seem like a lot but when it comes down to it and you don't have it, it will seem like so much more.
Get an on-campus job, work-study related or not. If you have trouble meeting people, which I don't, this would be a great way to help that. My first year, I worked at the Klondike as a cashier now I know just about everyone on campus =) Also this helps with tuition or just pocket change.
If you want to bring your car as a freshman, you can. I know that's important to some people.
