Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am learning many things like Theatre, Reading, Writing, and Math but I later I am going to learn about Philosophy, Computers, Physical Fitness, and Oral Comminications. Anyone can learn a lot here. The teachers are really cool and easy going-especially for freshman.
Am enjoying being here I am enjoying being here because the tuition is low, you get to work on additional projects for the college, treated more like an adult, and you don't have to get permission to leave the room-EVER.
Bang for the buck The tuition at the low, if anyone wants to find out how it costs, then go to the college website: www.asun.edu to find out how much it costs and you'll be amazed. They also have Distance Learning classes at a small fee as well. You'll need at least the FAFSA done and 2 or 3 scholarships for a whole year.
Tips for prospective students Be on time because if you don't then some professors may lock the door on you and some may take points off a test, report, or essay.
If you want to drive to school, then make sure you always go the speed limit.
Have all work turned in the day it's due or you'll lose some points.
Check the calendar-always for days No school or other events.(Don't be like me)Great for these types of students This school is really great for any type of person especially for anyone that likes to have extracurriculum classes and volunteer. You'll love it here once you get here and see how live is here.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Absolutely amazing, a college for all! Perfect for someone starting college either just out of school or for someone who has been out for quite some time. And everyone is so nice and helpful!!!!
Tips for prospective students Be nice to everyone and everyone will go out of their way to help you out and to get you where you need to go. I would highly recommend this school to anyone and everyone! And, if you have any type of special needs they are more than willing to help and make you comfortable.
Academic Rigor Classes can be a slight challenge until you get the hang of them and understand what is being asked but other than that, just ask questions and whoever it may be will help you and explain whatever you need to figure it out!
Dorm Life No dorms on this campus.
Food and Dining The food on campus is to die for!!! Talk about tasty!
What to do for fun We have a great gym and library! There is always friendly people to talk to and have a great counselor who gets events together.
Bang for the buck College is defiantly expensive but ASU Newport is fairly reasonable, and is in my eyes worth every penny!
Campus Safety Campus police are great! Real hard workers who honestly do their job. They go out of their way to help everyone and are so friendly!

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences it seems to me that asu-newport is a small community college that hasn't completely come into it's own yet. it is very nice and the staff and teachers are all very nice and direct but, they are more prone to making simple mistakes. they however are more than happy to help correct the mistakes.
Tips for prospective students always talk to the teacher before devoting to their class because, every teacher instructs differently and in varying intensities. don't get angry just because they make a mistake. they are human.
Academic Rigor the education is not very difficult at all but, i have to expect such from this size of school. it is very simply put, a community college and thus it will hold according academic intensity.
What to do for fun read, play outside, talk.
Bang for the buck the price here runs a little higher than an average community college because it is technically a state run institution but, is still cheaper than asu-jonesboro.
Great for these types of students high school graduates looking for a cheaper alternative to state college.
