Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I'd say that at Gonzaga there isn't an easy class. Along with hard classes though comes a lot of learning. You not only get the broad knowledge of your study but you recieve an in-depth focus. All of the teachers are pretty knowledgeable on their subjects and are happy to help. It is a great school to learn a lot of information.
Am enjoying being here Gonzaga community is pretty open and easy to make friends. The only thing is that it snows seven of the months you are here and activities around campus die down for a couple months which makes that time a little depressing. Overall though the staff cares about their students and will help to accomodate, there are a lot of chances to get involved, Gonzaga lacks in diversity but is working on getting that up. : )
Bang for the buck I would say you get the education you pay for. You pay a lot to be here although there is a lot of help available and if you talk to financial aid they will advise you of ways to recieve scholarships. The education is very well rounded and the core curriculum has you dipping into most subjects, that way you know what you really want to do by the time you come out. It's a great college with a great education.
Tips for prospective students As far as tips go I would suggest studying for every class even the classes that appear to be easy because they will surprise you, example the art classes. Also it is highly recommended to get to know your professor, because Gonzaga is such a small college teachers take time to get to know you and they all have office hours where you can get help, take advantage of this luxury.
Great for these types of students Students who want a well-rounded education, must be able to deal with weather on both ends, students who like to get involved, a lot of community service options, overall it's a great school just about anybody can find something on campus.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I transferred for University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho to go to a more demanding school like Gonzaga University. Gonzaga thrives off of the success of it's students. The teachers care and although this school requires a lot of work, the fulfillment will be something to rejoice because this school fills you will knowledge and sets a students up for success with it's high expectations.
Am enjoying being here Gonzaga is full of spirit and love. Being a mid year transfer student was hard because everyone knew the great spots to eat and meet and then there was me, confused about everything, but not for long. The Zag students could sense when someone was lost or confused and countless time on my first week of school people willingly came up to me to offer me directions and help me locate classes and buildings. This friendliness was refreshing and made this school enjoyable because of the love that radiates from the teachers and students.
Bang for the buck Gonzaga is an expensive investment but worth it. The students actually care about their education and the teachers make sure their students are successful by providing the tools necessary to succeed. Do not be afraid to apply to Gonzaga because of the cost. I was awarded grants, and scholarships that pretty much took care of 90% of my cost to go to this amazing school. Gonzaga will make sure that your financial needs are met, and remember that school is an investment. Gonzaga is worth the money.
Tips for prospective students Most could agree that high school does not prepare a student for college. Most of my classes require a 100 pages of reading per week and per class. Writing is ten times more vigorous than high school and be prepared for fast pace learning. At first it will be difficult to adjust to college lifestyle, the freedom and making the choice to do homework or just take a nap, but after a semester everything will become normal, simpler and easier to balance.
Great for these types of students Gonzaga and any university is really a place for students who care about their education are willing to sacrifice a little fun to pursue to their life goals and career aspirations. School is not easy much less college but in the end when you are making the big dollars, everything will all come into prospective. If you are willing to work hard and be surrounded by friendly and helpful friends, peers, students, teachers, and faculty, then pick Gonzaga University.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot As a current engineering student I enjoy my class but have become a bit disillusioned by what it means to receive a liberal arts education. The Jesuit approach to education is excellent and incredibly beneficial, but some professors definitely have a Catholic bias that comes across in classes such as history and as a non-Christian it can be a little weird at times. Overall though the classes are informative and the small class sizes offered by GU are wonderful
Am enjoying being here The sense of community at Gonzaga is amazing. Spokane is on the red-side of Washington but on a college campus, the discussion and debate create a more liberal atmosphere that balance out some of the more restrictive political views held by the general population.
Bang for the buck The costs of private school vs. public before you factor in financial aid definitely can be intimidating. However, private schools also have more grant money to help you pay, it was a little less expensive for me to attend Gonzaga than Western Washington University. Also, as a private school Gonzaga offers many more indirect benefits, a true sense of community, more personal relationships with professors, and alumni programs
Tips for prospective students Check out the Honors Program (for those who want a little deeper liberal arts education) and the Hogan Program (for anyone interested in entrepreneurship or business, not necessarily business majors though) when you're applying. Also, don't be worried about not having a football team, GU basketball more than makes up for that.
Great for these types of students Catholic ;) Science-minded students who still want the benefit of being a well-rounded scholar through a liberal arts education. Outdoor-sy students (GU Outdoors and the ski-club offer some great experiences and rentals are pretty cheap)

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Gonzaga challenges students in a way that they have never known. Professors expect a lot and there are few easy A classes here. You should expect to work hard, but professors are very fair and don't expect too much. I have learned so much about numerous different subjects as well as through experiences outside of the classroom. Additionally, with the core requirements, students are required to take a few classes in religion and philosophy as well as some other categories, regardless of major. This helps to create a student who is well-rounded and can articulate the teachings of Kant, even if an engineering major.
Am enjoying being here It took me a little time to get used to Gonzaga, as it is a very different environment than what I grew up with. However, after my Freshman year, I found myself looking forward to coming back. Gonzaga has numerous extra-curricular activities that cater to a wide variety of students. There is ALWAYS something to do here, even for those that decided not to party on a Friday or Saturday night. The area of Spokane could be more happening, but there are significant fun things to do in Spokane if you dig a little. Academically, socially and religiously, Gonzaga is exemplary.
Bang for the buck Gonzaga is not an inexpensive school. However, there are several scholarships and grants to help pay with for your education. Additionally, the professors are excellent and highly esteemed around the country, so I'd definitely say that I am getting bang for the buck. Student Life, Student Government and the Residence Hall Association put on numerous free or low-cost events for students that are always exceptionally attended, further proving that you are investing your tuition money in a world of experiences both in and outside the classroom.
Tips for prospective students Make sure your ideals are in line with the Jesuit spirit. If you are not ready for your religious views and intellectual views to be challenged, Gonzaga is not the place for you. Gonzaga strives to make students men and women for others. If you are excited for that, this is the right place for you. If you've never lived in the snow, make sure to bring a warm wardrobe and boots! The snow is really fun, but it can be a pain when you have to walk across campus and it's freezing and you keep falling. It probably won't be a problem unless you don't have the right wardrobe!
Great for these types of students Students who are committed to the world around them and social justice love Gonzaga because of the service learning opportunities Gonzaga offers. Serious academic students also find Gonzaga a great match because of the common ideology that we are here to learn above all else. Outodoorsy students are thrilled with the Gonzaga Outdoors organization that puts on rafting, ski/snowboard, snowshoeing and hiking trips almost weekly. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful and further attracts students who enjoy the outdoors.

Categories Rating Comments Will learn a lot Gonzaga University not only has amazing academics and a beastly basketball program to offer; It also has faculty that respects its students and cares about their success. Having quality teachers really boosts your education, and the faculty at Gonzaga will put time into your understanding and achievement.
Will enjoy being here Gonzaga's community with the students is phenomenal, and you are able to have a great social life amongst your education. They offer a variety of intermural sports and clubs to keep you connected and help build new relationships.
Bang for the buck Although it is a private school with an intimidating tuition, Gonzaga offers decent scholarships, grants, and loans. The experience is worth the extra money, and Gonzaga sends lots of information to help you in the process.
Tips for prospective students Visit the campus, and if you're accepted go to GEL Weekend. I was planning on attending another school until I went to GEL Weekend and fell in love with the community on campus.
Great for these types of students Driven, Well-rounded, Basketball-lovers, Inspired, Caring, Above-average, Social

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot As an engineering student, I have a full schedule: maxed out at 18 credits. Even after maxing out, I decided to join a few music classes which you must fill out forms to be able to take the class, and then a fee waiver (or else you have to pay several thousand as an overload fee). The classes are quite educational; I am learning a lot. The only thing I hate is the religion classes.
Am enjoying being here I am having a lot of fun, probably due to the fact I have a good core of friends. If you come here, make sure to be friends with all kinds of people!
Bang for the buck It's pretty expensive, but with financial aid, it's not that bad. I'm taking 20 credits for tuition around that of my high school's, so it's not bad at all.
Tips for prospective students It gets cold here.
There are some creepy people in Spokane's Logan neighborhood which the campus is surrounded on 3 of 4 sides.
Don't choose Marian Hall if you don't want to walk far - it's off-campus by few blocks. When it snows, you don't want to walk that, and then Frogger across a busy road between the dorm and campus.Great for these types of students People who don't get homesick. People who like community. People who can handle work. People who like business or engineering.

Categories Rating Comments Will enjoy being here I live in Spokane and the local love and support towards Gonzaga is huge. Basketball is the key focus most of the year on campus. If you like cheering at games and school spirit is important to you, Gonzaga would be perfect. There's lots to do around campus; there's definitely a Zags district in Spokane, so you kind of get that small college town feeling.
Bang for the buck It's a private school, so of course it's going to be pricey.
Tips for prospective students Make sure you explore the surrounding area to get a feel for what it would be like to live there and set up an appointment with an admissions counselor- they're extremely interested in your personal college search journey and very helpful. Be prepared for an informal interview.
Great for these types of students If you love school spirit, basketball, and a good Jesuit education, Gonzaga's for you.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The teachers make sure to come in any time to meet with you if you are having trouble, even if it doesn't relate to class. They are very understanding and will work with you in order to help you succeed.
Am enjoying being here Everyone is extremely friendly and happy to be here. And everyone who comes here absolutely loves it. People are very accepting and it is very easy to get involved and be yourself. There are clubs for everything and a place for everyone to participate in the the things they love.
Bang for the buck It is really expensive, but what college isnt these days. You definately will get an amazing quality education. The teachers realize you're paying a lot of money so they'll work with you to make sure you're learning and getting the best education you can in order to make the price worth it. There are a lot of scholarship opportunities which make it a lot easier too.
Tips for prospective students Be very open to try new things because you'll never know what you'll end up liking. Be very friendly and you will find out you'll have too many friends to count. KEEP UP ON COLLEGE BASKETBALL! The student section is ranked as the third best student sections in the nation. Games are amazing and you'll be amazed at how intense they can get, and how easily the hype will suck you in! The McCarthy Athletic Center is said to be one of the toughest places for the visitors to play in the country because of the amazing support from the students and all of Spokane. Do your research as to what has to be in the application because this school is very selective, you have to really want it to get in, and once you do you'll be glad you applied. Spend time on the essays and make sure they're the best they can be. Spend a lot of time looking for scholarships and apply early!!!!! It is amazing how much a scholarship can help and how much relief it provides, because it's that much less money you have to pay off in the future! And relax! Everything will fall into place so don't worry about everything too much.
Great for these types of students basketball fans, people that love the outdoors, someone who wants to find their place in the world, someone who wants to make friends, someone who loves life and enjoys themselves, people who don't mind living in a place that feels like a small town. Spokane is big but people who like huge cities like Seattle, LA, New York, and other large cities would think this place is too small.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Gonzaga has a strong focus on a liberal arts education. The Jesuits try to influence every student to be a well rounded, caring and intellectual citizen
Am enjoying being here Growing up in Spokane, I have my dispositions to the city, but the actual experience at GU is a fairly mellow and academic experience
Bang for the buck GU is pretty expensive, but what college isn't these days? Its also a private school so the extra money spent on tuition does get kicked back to you with campus events, technology and quality of professors
Tips for prospective students Recognize what you want out of college. GU has a very particular atmosphere that could be shocking if you don't read up a bit on its culture and student body composition.
Great for these types of students If you want a ton of kids and block parties, this is probably not the place. If you are a staunch atheist, the experience won't be as good for you as other open minded individuals. If you desire to learn, any Jesuit university, but GU in particular, is good.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot My classes have challenged me to think critically and to view the world in new ways. I have developed a passion for knowledge and a thirst for social justice. I am challenged daily by the people around me which has led to exponential personal and spiritual growth.
Am enjoying being here In essence, Gonzaga means community. You can't go anywhere on campus without seeing a smiling face and a wave hello. Everyone on campus is friendly and helpful and there is an incredible sense of Gonzaga pride.
Bang for the buck While expensive, Gonzaga gives out great scholarships to students with academic excellence. For me, going to GU ended up being slightly less expensive than going to a state university.
Tips for prospective students Take advantage of the plethora of clubs, activities, events, retreats, and academic services offered at Gonzaga. Don't forget to bring a winter jacket and snow boots!
Great for these types of students Gonzaga is the school for you if you:
1) Love to be active. Almost everyone participates in intramural sports--we are a fit campus!
2) Love the outdoors. We have many lakes and mountains nearby.
3) Want small classes and a sense of community.
4) Want to be challenged and experience personal growth.
5) Love being a basketball fan.Login to rate or flag the reviews

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Both the classes and the teachers at Gonzaga are amazing. The classes can be hard, even ones like art, but they are all worth the effort. The teachers are great because they won't hold your hand and give you all the answers, but they will practically bend over backwards to help you learn the material if you go to them for help. When you leave the classroom, you will actually be taking helpful information away with you even if you didn't walk away with an A.
Am enjoying being here Gonzaga is an amazing campus populated with a lot of friendly people. It is easy to meet new people and make friends on campus thanks to all of the activities that happen year round, dorm life, classes, and Crosby student center. The residence halls are usually nice, and there is a great sense of community even in the apartments on campus.
Bang for the buck There are no easy As at Gonzaga. You definitely get what you pay for in both the classes and the teachers. The residence halls range from a little run down (Boone) to really nice (Kennedy apartments), but you get a chance to pick the ones you want the most when you apply for housing each year. The housing office is very good at what they do, though, so you are likely to get one of your top choices. The only downside to Gonzaga is the food. The restaurants on and near campus are nice (and many take flex money or bulldog bucks), but I really don't suggest eating in either of the cafeterias, though.
Tips for prospective students The classes here are difficult, but if you stay focused, you will do well. Don't forget about being social, though, or you won't have an amazing experience. A huge part of college is experiencing new things and meeting new people. There are a ton of activities always happening on campus for every kind of interest, so go out and have fun when you have time away from class and homework.
Great for these types of students Gonzaga is great for people who are really involved in their community. You have to know how to manage your time well, though, or you may have trouble keeping up the grades. Gonzaga is a place for people with any interest from the outdoors and sports to the visual/performing arts and community service. If you are afraid of getting lost on a large campus then Gonzaga is the perfect choice. It is large enough to have nearly everything you ever need, but small enough to get to know a big portion of the students (at least the ones living on campus) through classes and dorm life.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I LOVE Gonzaga. The academics are challenging, the community is amazing, and the athletics are unmatched. I couldn't have picked a better school!
Tips for prospective students When you walk onto the campus you for , it just feels right. There aren't words to describe it, its just a feeling of being home.
Academic Rigor Challenging but plenty of resources to help you succeed.
Dorm Life Super tight, close knit communities that help you the both good and bad times throughout freshman year.
Food and Dining The meal plans are required the first two years, which is both a positive and negative. The COG (main dinning hall) is more of a social gathering than anything else, but the food does tend to get repetitive after awhile.
What to do for fun There is always some type of activity going on around campus, whatever you are interested in there will be some group or event for you.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The classes are small enough, but not too small. You really develop strong relationships with your professors and fellow classmates, and rarely do you walk out of class with that feeling of well that was a waste, I might as well have slept in.
Am enjoying being here Most of the people are down to earth and super outgoing and friendly. Plus, the majority of students ACTUALLY want to be there and are there for a similar purpose.
Bang for the buck They nickle-and-dime you a lot, but what school doesn't in this economy. For me, going to Gonzaga will be worth the pile of student loans I am currently accumulating.
Tips for prospective students Just go in with an open-mind to fully embrace the Gonzaga experience. Get involved, seriously, it's the best way to meet a ton of people!!!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I have learned more this year than I have learned in the past 18 years of my life and Gonzaga is the reason for that.
Am enjoying being here Gonzaga is a beautiful school and there are so many great individuals working here. There are also a lot of great students here. I felt at home the moment I got here.
Bang for the buck Gonzaga is a fantastic beautiful and strong institution. It's absolutely amazing and it is definitely worth every penny.
Tips for prospective students Be yourself and care about the world.
Great for these types of students Gonzaga is a school for people who care a lot about the community, for people who want to make a change in the world, and for leaders. It prepares you for the world in remarkable ways.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences It's full of privileged rich kids, and more of a party school than you might think since it's Catholic. If you're interested in challenging academics outside engineering or the hard sciences, look elsewhere. It's got a better rep than it deserves in Washington, probably because of its basketball team, but don't expect anything too great.
Tips for prospective students If you're smart and interested in learning and you have the opportunity to go somewhere else, do. The quality of the school is by and large not worth the cost.
Academic Rigor At least in the humanities, I haven't been too impressed. The core is pervasive and you will be able to dabble in philosophy and religious studies, but not under the direction of particularly engaging or challenging professors.
Dorm Life Most of the dorms are party dorms. If you're into that, you'll love them; if not, you'll probably still make friends but you'll be annoyed a lot of the time.
Food and Dining 6,000 undergrads and one major dining hall doesn't make for the greatest of dining experiences. Sometimes there are tasty vegetarian options but not often. The campus is also sorely lacking late-night options during the week, and the meal plans range from crazy-constricting to slightly less constricting.
What to do for fun Having a car will help, but outside of Spokane, there's only Idaho (read: nothing) and lesser Eastern Washington (read: more nothing). On campus, there's an abundance of college parties and I guess some GSBA-sanctioned activities but nothing too exciting.
Bang for the buck I don't feel challenged, and I feel like I'm wasting my money. If I had the chance to choose again, I absolutely would not choose to go here.
Great for these types of students If you're more interested in basketball and drinking away your parents' money than being academically challenged or fulfilled, you will love it here.
Clubs and Activities Very few clubs, and even fewer have much of a presence on campus as far as I have seen.
Greek Life No sororities or frats.
Campus Safety If your car can be broken into, it will be broken into, and your things will be stolen. You might also be beaten up by meth-head Spokies if you're walking around late at night, even in a group. Logan is a terrible neighborhood and we're smack in the middle of it.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Gonzaga is a tight knit community, you always see someone you know on your way to class. Small school in the classrooms with a big school feel at sporting events. It is my home.
Tips for prospective students Get involved around campus. It is the fastest and easiest way to make friends for life. Take school seriously, it is easy to get caught up in the social part of school and forget about academics but be wary of your grades.
Academic Rigor Classes are challenging, but take advantage of the small class sizes and your professor's office hours, they are there to help you succeed.
Dorm Life Dorms are crazy and can be so much fun and really annoying. Make the best out of the two years you spend in the dorms and you can make friends for life.
Food and Dining I recommend lunch in Cataldo (the mini COG). Take advantage of dining dollars, Spikes and Subco are always a good alternative when the COG is serving gross food.
What to do for fun Basketball games! Every student attends at least one, they are the best. Also downtown Spokane is within walking distance and provides things to do.
Bang for the buck Gonzaga is the greatest and sets its students up with careers straight out of college. They really take time to teach the entire student and help get you on your feet as an adult.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Zombie Nation; the dance the entire Kennel (our student section) does before basketball games.
Great for these types of students Sports fans. Academically geared. Religious.
Clubs and Activities So many ways to get involved and everyone is so welcoming.
Greek Life No Greek Life
Campus Safety 24/7 Campus Security, they are always around when you need them, and when you don't.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Gonzaga has a strong, tight knit, jesuit community. Acedimics are important to the students, and all the students are hard working. Students love Gonzaga and have a lot of school pride.
Tips for prospective students Visit campus! Gonzaga is a smaller school.
Academic Rigor Classes vary depending on the class and teacher. Some classes are very challenging, but some classes are not too bad. Teachers generally expect and lot out of their studnents.
Dorm Life Dorms are great! There is no bad dorm at Gonzaga! The dorms are single sex or coed by floor which is reallly nice, because you are able to walk around in a towel whenever you want.
Food and Dining The food is fine. The COG is cafeteria food, it gets old after a while, but that would happen at any school.
What to do for fun There is always stuff to do. There are parties on the weekends, but GSBA also plans stuff to do on the weekend (free ice skating or movie nights). Gonzaga outdoors plans weekend and day trips that are inexpensive to go skiing or white water rafting. There is always stuff going of around campus. Also downtown is a 10 minute walk along the river, and there is a mall and movie theater downtown.
Bang for the buck Gonzaga is a private school and is expensive, but admissions is generous with financial aid and scholarships.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Gonzaga is really into basketball and for big games people camp out for good tickets.
Great for these types of students Great for all students. I think that everyone is able find a good fit for them at Gonzaga!
Clubs and Activities There are lots of clubs on campus and it is easy to get involved!
Greek Life No greek life. We are a small enough school that i think that it is a good thing that there is no greek life on campus.
Campus Safety Campo is very good. If you ever feel safe on or off campus you can call campo and they will pick you up.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Gonzaga is a school with a strong foundation in Catholic values. The professors are for the most part very good. Gonzaga's campus is nice, fairly small but big enough to find places to get away from things for a while.
Tips for prospective students Gonzaga is a great school if you are athletically inclined, Catholic, or want a small school feel. Whenever the Gonzaga is mentioned in conversation, the first thing people think of is basketball, so be prepared for that.
Academic Rigor Many core classes are quite easy; the low level ones are practically just courses to get through, and only a little is really learned. The upper level math and science classes do become academically challenging and hard work is required.
Dorm Life The dorms are divided up into 'party' dorms and quiet ones. Getting the housing you want can be an issue at times, but if you are persistent and talk to the housing staff it usually works out.
Food and Dining The food at the main dining area, the COG, is generally not very good. At any rate, it is what most people complain of more than anything. If you are careful, healthy options can be found though.
What to do for fun Everyone exercises often. There is a river with a trail good for running and biking, plus a good park for bouldering on real rocks not far from campus. Downtown holds a few good standard stores, restaurants, and theaters. On campus there are often interesting lectures, performances, and guests.
Bang for the buck The school, being a private school, is very expensive. Housing and food prices are way over what they should be, as compared to places like UW.
Greek Life There is none.
Campus Safety Campo is very accommodating and the campus feels safe. Not so with the surrounding streets, as Spokane has high crime rates and is relatively dangerous.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Gonzaga has exceptional staff and class opportunities. The Jesuit traditions that have been well upheld here offer an interesting and unique experience. Gonzaga does a great job of instilling not only the importance of education in the classroom, but personal development socially and within the community.
Academic Rigor If you keep up with the given assignments then you will have no problem staying on top of your grades!
Dorm Life Depending on whether or not you stay in a Positive Choice dorm, the dorms are nice and people are friendly.
Food and Dining The cog is the on campus dining hall for students. It has pretty good food, but some of the meals are prepared a lot.
What to do for fun Spokane has easy access to lots of outdoor activities, near by movie theatre's, parks, and shopping centers.
Bang for the buck very expensive.
Great for these types of students Intellectuals. Lots of campus clubs that center around academics.
Clubs and Activities Several clubs and activities are always available for students. Never a dull moment at the student center!
Greek Life Dont have greek houses.
Campus Safety Campus is extremely safe. Gonzaga has excellent security guards that are available for rides all hours of the day and night.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Gonzaga University is a wonderful school because students aren't only focused on their academics, but doing service in the community as well. In addition to community grades and academic learning is very important to us. Gonzaga University has excellent programs where there are is committed staff and professors who are all very willing to help students.

In addition know that you can talk to your professors if you are struggling. Professors are all happy to help you if you are having trouble. If you did any AP or IB you are well prepared for Gonzaga's courses. Get involved in a preorientation program. This will give you a feeling of comfort and you will meet new people before anyone else.
Academic Rigor There are some classes that are of course harder than others. However Gonzaga University mostly cares that you learned something in the class. Overall classes at Gonzaga are completely manageable, but like anything you have to study.
Dorm Life Dorm life is so fun. This is where you will meet most of your friends. It is a great community setting, where you do different activities and even study with your friends. Pretty soon you start to think of your dorm as home.
Food and Dining The cog (our dining hall) is great in the beginning however it gets old after awhile. Get the block B meal plan. It gives you $600 to buy stuff with your card around campus, and 120 meals in the cog per semester. We also have a panda express on campus, and something like a subway, but its called subco.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Gonzaga is like a home away from home. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. You will love the professors, students, buildings, activities, atmosphere, and everything else!
Tips for prospective students If you are thinking about coming here, COME! Gonzaga will live up to your expectations and give you the best education. You will never feel alone socially or academically-- there are tons of ways to meet new people and also tons of study groups or tutoring for every class.
Academic Rigor Academics here are pretty difficult at times, but if you stay focused and study, you will do fine. Don't try to slide by without reading or not studying because it will come back to get you. The professors all have office hours during the week to help with any questions you need. There are also tutors for every class in case your professor's office hours don't work with your schedule.
Dorm Life Every dorm has a different personality. Some are more wild and some are more calm, but all of them have a great sense of community. You will become best friends with the people in your dorm and they will become your family.
Food and Dining There are lots of options on campus for food. The most popular option you have is the COG, which is the cafeteria and it has food for all lifestyles. You also have a handle full of coffee shops on campus, a pizza place, a panini place, a sandwich shop, a late night dining place, and a smoothie/ice cream place.
What to do for fun There are always events put on by GSBA, our student body, during the week and on the weekends. For example, every wednesday there is a different singer/performer at coffeehouse. There are also different sporting events, formal and non-formal. These include our basketball games, soccer games, baseball games, etc. Intermurals are also a big part of student life and these give you a chance to play friendly or competitive sport games, even if you are not athletic.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus GU Basketball games are HUGE. You not only have to wait in line to get a ticket, you sometimes have to camp out for a couple days and nights to get in line for the actual game. It is the best way to become a true Zag.
Clubs and Activities There are so many different clubs. They range from service clubs to Harry Potter club and everything in between. If a club doesn't exist that you want to have on campus, you can make one!
Greek Life We do not have a Greek Life at Gonzaga, but there are many clubs and academic clubs you can be a part of.
Campus Safety Gonzaga has its own on-campus security and neighborhood security. They are very willing and happy to pick you up from on-campus locations, as well as neighborhood areas, and take you back to your dorm. They sincerely care about your safety.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Overall, great school. I attended a state university for my undergraduate education, and this has been a much more enjoyable experience. Great graduate assistant opportunities for grad students.
Tips for prospective students The higher the GMAT, the better.
Food and Dining OK options--not like living in a big city, though.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot You really get a well rounded education here, but in a timely manner. You can get into almost all the classes you want.
Am enjoying being here There are so many opportunities to have fun here. There are lots of great clubs, people, and Spokane is a great city to explore.
Bang for the buck It's a little pricey, but if you work hard and apply for a lot of scholarships you'll be able to afford it. This school isn't affected as much by the government's budget problems because it is a private institution. That being said, you really get a quality education here that is unrivaled by other schools.
Tips for prospective students Introduce yourself to as many people as you can. Also, it is possible to go through the first year of college without taking a sip of alcohol. Just find people that find enjoyment in other things.
Great for these types of students Everyone
