Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am so amazed all the information that I am learning here. Its just like attending any university except way cheaper! (And I should know since I transferred to STLCC from a private University). I thought these classes would be easy and I wouldn't learn a thing, but man was I wrong! Every time I walk through my classroom door I know I am going to learn something brand new from amazing professors.
Am enjoying being here Since this is a community college, a person would think that there isn't much to do on campus; its just a go to class go home kind of deal. WRONG! There is SO much to do on campus; there are tons of different activities you can join doing things like hiking and backpacking to knitting! The variety of activities is amazing and has something for everyone!
Bang for the buck At STLCC you definitely get the most bang for your buck! The school selects professors just as amazing (if not more) than the ones that work in Universities. Plus, at STLCC, you are paying a tiny fraction of the cost of what an university would cost. And like any university, STLCC has scholarships too!
Tips for prospective students If you are not positive on what you want to do with your future, or you are afraid of the financial difficulty of a university definitely consider STLCC. There are so many different classes (some that even my university didn't even offer) with professors and faculty that go out of their way to help you in any way they can. Plus, STLCC has beautiful campuses and amazing fellow students. I think the only thing they are missing are dormitories.
Great for these types of students STLCC is great for any and every student. If you want to save money and have the time of your life, STLCC is the college for you!

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Learning at Meramec is by the choice of the student. Every professor there is trained and very knowledgeable in the classes that they teach, if you have the ambition to learn and make the best of the class, the teachers will assist you in being successful and learning many things.
Am enjoying being here There is a terrific environment throughout the campus. There isn't a day that you won't see groups of students socializing between classes, or enjoying the time outside. Its a great environment, and everyone is friendly. I personally love attending and walking through the beautiful campus daily.
Bang for the buck I am on the A+ program currently at Meramec, and only have to pay for my books. If you live inside the city lines, Meramec is great for the money that you pay. They have a great staff, and many classes to choose from. They exceed my expectations every semester.
Great for these types of students Meramec is great for all types of students, lots of classes offered, and a very helpful staff in the Advising department, that can help anyone figure out what they want to do with their life and how to get them there.

Categories Rating Comments Tips for prospective students This school is what you make of it, I recommend you get involved. This looks great. Take honors classes and join PTK, this will help you out later. Don't take too many classes. Talk to your teachers and get to know them, a lot of them have great connections and will take you far. Trust me, these are the biggest lessons I learned, both the hard and easy way through my time there.
Academic Rigor It depends what classes you take. If you take general entry classes you can sleep through them and get As. If you take hard teachers and honors classes, its hard. The math department is brutal here so watch out!!
Food and Dining Super expensive!!
What to do for fun It's on your own time off campus.
Bang for the buck Unbelievably cheap and great opportunities if you work hard!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Go to the club room! Its fun and helps you out major when your on your way out the door.
Clubs and Activities Lots and lots, but I rate them low because in the end the pay off doesn't correlate with what you put in.
Campus Safety Amazing!! There was a fight on campus and the police arrived in under 30 seconds!
