Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot In the past 2 years I have grown more than words can say at this school. The professors are top notch and know how to make the course work interesting and relevant.
Am enjoying being here TCC's campus is beautiful, and extremely well maintained. Student Life hosts a number of events all through-out the year for free for students. Including celebrity guest speakers (this year we had actress/poet Amber Tamblyn), comedians, musicians, and events like the annual Pow Wow, as well as the Laua. TCC has an extremely diverse yet connected atmosphere that is really difficult to describe, but wonderful to be a part of.
Bang for the buck TCC is, as the name states, a Community College, which pretty much means it costs MUCH less than University's. This does not mean that the professors are of a cheaper quality. In fact, I am shocked when I hear of some of their credentials (Cornell, Oxford, etc). All of them have years of experience, and most of them have taught at Universities, and/or worked in the field they're teaching. TCC offers free tutoring in Writing, Math, Business, Language and many other subjects, as well as hosts free work shops.
Tips for prospective students Want to learn something, if you're here because you want to be told you're an A student and be given an A in every class you take... Go somewhere else. TCC offers a serious education so be willing to put in the work.
Great for these types of students People serious about their education, but who want to cut some of the costs on their way to a four year or a certificate. TCC is in no way inferior to a University. So students who feel prepared and dedicated would be excellent. If you don't feel so prepared, TCC also offers wonderful opportunities to get you there. There is no type of student TCC is ideal for, just work hard. Anyone can be successful if they put in the time and energy.
