Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot because what I don't get I joined program called TRIO and it's for tutoring and it helps me a lot at least the first days; we were kind of skimming, but i learned .
Am enjoying being here because I feel safe, I get a lot of help in everything I have a question, I love the way I feel being in this university.
Bang for the buck if it's about the financial need I think it was a lot help because I come from a poor family and don't have the money so I can get and education.
Tips for prospective students join in as many activities as you can, without exceeding yourself, and I mean that you have time to do your homework and enjoy yourself, and not just wanting time to do your homework, but to hang around.
Great for these types of students that wants to feel like home and want to learn more by getting help.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences texas a&m international university is a small but rapidly growing university filled with accomplished professors, always helpful staff and friendly students. one of the best things about a small university is all the help you receive both financially and academically through many scholarships and student tutors who are eager to help you with some of those difficult courses you have trouble with. tamiu offers many opportunities, insightful courses and a successful college education.
Tips for prospective students future college freshman, the first and biggest piece of advice i can give is to ask questions! don't be scared to ask questions because if there is anything confusing you did not understand, whether it'd be college admission deadlines, or scholarships, asking your counselor or even a college representative is always the way to go. secondly, keep a journal or a planner nearby where you can jot down important deadlines, stay on top of things and get all tasks done so you won't miss out on those great scholarships and financial opportunities. my final piece of advice is to have an open mind. many of us have a set list of universities we want to attend to but each college has something great and unique about them. visit their campuses, talk to the students, explore outside of that list because there is a great college out there for each and everyone of us.
Academic Rigor the classes at texas a&m international university are all challenging but achievable. there is always someone to study with or a tutor who can help you strengthen the coursework you did not understand.
Dorm Life compared to some big and popular campuses, tamiu's dorms provide the perfect privacy and living accommodations. you share a bathroom with your roommate while each of you have your own separate bedroom with a spacious bed, desk, drawer and sliding door closet! i know i can speak for many people when i say that we would all prefer to share a bathroom and shower with one single person than with the entire floor.
Food and Dining the food in tamiu is amazing! dusty's dinner is the best! so many great choices of delicious food to choose from. the best part is that there are certain days throughout the semester when you can get a free meal at the diner for participating in fun events! food and fun for free?? what more can a college student ask for??
What to do for fun there are many great activities that occur throughout the week on campus such as plays, recitals, concerts, basketball games, soccer games and school spirit events. tamiu is located in the great city of laredo. just like the university, laredo is growing rapidly with movie theaters, great restaurants, parks and for you ladies, a great shopping mall that includes texas's biggest forever 21 store!
Bang for the buck tamiu is a definite bang for your buck! tuition is very affordable, along with financial aid and numerous scholarship opportunities offered. the financial help here in tamiu is so good that many of the student's refund money is up to $2,000! not to mention the education, the experience and the friends you make are amazing and all wrapped in one great learning institution.
Campus Safety tamiu is an extremely safe and homy environment. with campus police always on duty, college life for all the students is one of harmonious security.
