Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Texas College has shown me answers to many life questions. Students have the ability to contact their Professors 24/7. Its a population of a 1,000 which leads us to being a huge family.
Tips for prospective students -Take a tour of the city of Tyler and Texas College.
- Apply for as many scholarships as possible.Academic Rigor Great English and Education Program
Dorm Life Blessed! The dorms are spacey and great storage. Fair Hall has a sink(face bowl) in each room and Carter Hall has carpet.
Food and Dining Mr. Anthony is the manager of dining. He listens to students request and the food is always prepared properly. The staff is wonderful. We have Chicken Wing Wednesday and Fish Fridays( bake or fried).

Bang for the buck I love my TC. Its Small and everyone is a family. We have tutoring for every subject we offer. Every October I look forward to Homecoming to see all the oldheads, Alumni. They treat me as family and I stay in contact with many of them during my time here at Texas College.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Greek Land and the Famous SteerWalk. A few years ago students came together and demonstrated their school spirit in purple and gold on a blacktop driveway.
Great for these types of students Students that are focused and have a purpose for coming to a small town for college.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Three stars because I am in my major core classes. One star because our basics are much of anything. Half of a star because of the extra classes the institute requires(chapel, first and second seminar, etc). If your want hands on for your major, go for it.
Am enjoying being here Somewhat.... college is what you make of it. You will find something wrong with every school you attend. Just choose the one with the least amount of problems.... Instead of transferring three times only to end up at the school you attended first.
Bang for the buck Its not cheap......
Tips for prospective students Truly weigh out your options when picking a institution. It's not all about parties yet not all about homework(50/50). College is for a growing experience, a mere stepping stone to your bright future. Don't listen to that 12 credit hour bull. To graduate on time take at least 15 credits, get out of their in four years. Don't waste your money, know every loan you will pay back. Show up to class at least 85% of time, its beneficial towards you. No... Repeat No morning classes your first semester unless your a morning person. Parties last all night, it hard's to get up everyday. No mater what, or how shy, Get Involved in school activities. Looks good on your resume as well scholarships. Avoid developmental classes, they don't go towards your degree plan, ultimately delaying your graduation. Choose the right school the first time, each school has different requirements so your liable to lose credits. All of this comes from personally experience. I did everything wrong only, but now that I am on track I mentor to do something right. My mistakes were endless but I wasn't the party type. I was a over worked book worm who had no guidance. Experience of a lifetime......
Great for these types of students This school is great for students who need to be in a hands on environment.
