Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I am learning a lot more than I did in high school. With the teacher only teaching up to 20 students at a time, we are able to interact, and ask lots of questions. The teachers there also can tell if the whole class is struggling and will spend more time on the study or since the class is so small, they remember you and talk to you after class about it.
Am enjoying being here I am a college student, so I would enjoy being anywhere else than in class. But with the small classes our teachers are more enjoyable, and tell a lot more jokes, which makes me like being there more.
Bang for the buck I believe the class are just right, or a little bit more than another smaller college around the area. But if you live in the Independence area, usually they do scholarships with the high schools around and you be able to go on a free ride.
Tips for prospective students Budget, enjoy your time off, have extra money, and also plan ahead.
Great for these types of students Older people who have decided to go back to college, or beginners so they can get the feel of college.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I attended a 4 year university and left it to move closer to home, while transferring to UACCB. I feel like I've learned more in my one year here than in the 2 years at ASU-J! The teachers here are more focused on teaching you the skills you'll need later in life, whereas at ASU, they seemed more focused on just teaching the subject instead of how it related to the real world.
Am enjoying being here This is a small town, so there's not much to do socially. If you decide to attend UACCB though, you've most likely grown up in this area and know this. I enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone is focused on learning and gaining skills for the workforce instead of lazing around and being a student.
Bang for the buck This college is VERY affordable and you get a great education.
Tips for prospective students Don't make my mistake and think that just because it is in a tiny town and is a community college that is is less useful than the traditional 4 year universities. Larger universities generally don't really have the time to put in quality time with each student. Smaller colleges, however, do.
Great for these types of students Nontraditional students, older persons wanting to get a quality education for cheap, students fresh out of high school that need their basics, persons interesting in Nursing. We have a very good nursing program and are building a new nursing building. =)

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences UACCB is a great school with an great atmosphere. The teachers there are phenomenal, they will meet with you outside of class to make sure you understand the material if you need them too. There are also many great opportunities available for transfer students.
Tips for prospective students If you plan on staying at the school to study, there are great tutors in the student success center. Also, along with the computer lab, you can use the computers in the library or student success center.
Dorm Life This is an community college so there are no dorms.
Food and Dining The grill on campus has great food and it's not as pricey as other colleges!
What to do for fun UACCB works with the community and the Student body to make sure they have things planned for fun all throughout the year, especially for holidays!
Bang for the buck You get the education you pay for. But UACCB is also significantly cheaper than a 4 year college and they'll help you with transfer scholarships if you intend to transfer. :]
