Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot The professors are great at Wagner. They are really dedicated to learning more in their specific field of study and to teaching their students what they have learned as a result of their research. Of course, there will be professors that you will and will not like.
Am enjoying being here The best part of living on campus is participating in my clubs and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy our annual Homecoming, Fall Fest, Autumn Ball, and Wagnerstock. The college and the clubs/organizations on campus offers many fun activities such as movies, guest speakers, karaoke nights every week.
Bang for the buck In order to make sure you get the most bang for the bunk I recommend taking advantage of everything that Wagner offers their students. There are so many academic, extracurricular, leadership, and volunteer opportunities on campus.
Tips for prospective students Definitely come with an open mind and pay attention to everything that is happening on campus. Be ready to meet a lot of different and interesting people. Most importantly, have fun and relax.
Great for these types of students Wagner College is great for students who want to close to New York City without living in the city. It is also great for students who want a small school and classes.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Wagner College is a wonderful school for career focused students. It is a great choice for anyone who is interested in the arts, business or the health field.
Tips for prospective students These are some tips: Know your counselors, don't fall behind school work and don't be ashamed to ask for help or tutoring.
Academic Rigor It's up there! 5 stars.
Dorm Life I only give it one star because I live off campus.
Food and Dining It's pretty decent. The school has an all you can eat buffet and you can buy meal plans.
What to do for fun There's theatre, sports, outdoors and lots of fun events throughout the year.
Bang for the buck It's a bit on the expensive side.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot I did not learn a single thing in my classes first semester. All I learned was what not to do for next semester.
Am enjoying being here It's a great school but there are no parties and many of the students are NY and NJ residents who go home on the weekends leaving campus to look like a ghost town. The key is to make your own fun.
Bang for the buck I have no idea where all the money that this school gets is going because the dorms and buildings are old and unkept and the food has no variety. The campus itself looks beautiful
Tips for prospective students Join clubs, make your own fun, say yes to every email event you get, and find a great study spot. Also get an ethernet cable for the internet. The campus has WiFi all over but it can be weak sometimes.
Great for these types of students People who do not need to be surrounded by tons of people all the time, know how to make their own fun, love the city, up for anything.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences I love Wagner College! It offers great academics along with a great campus life all shared by free travel into the great city of Manhattan! I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Tips for prospective students If you aren't big about being in an urban campus but want that city life, Wagner is just the place. Located in a small residential neighborhood on Staten Island, it keeps a small college profile just minutes from ferry access to Manhattan.
What to do for fun The City!

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences Wagner has a beautiful campus. It is in Staten Island so New York City is very accessible. It has a great Theatre program and great opportunities.
Tips for prospective students It is has a very relaxed and homey feel to the campus yet its assured that you'll be worked and pushed to your limits.
Academic Rigor I haven't yet attended, but it seems that Wagner can be very rigorous with some of its programs and demanding at times.
Dorm Life From what I've heard from current students, Wagner dorm life is very fun and enjoyable.
Food and Dining I've heard that the food at Wagner is great, so I am definitely looking forward to that!
What to do for fun Wagner is a small campus, but despite that, there are always events and activities happening everywhere. The city is also just a free shuttle bus and a free ferry ride away.

Tips for prospective students as a freshman make sure you attend the orientation. get involved on campus and it will make your fours years a blast.
Academic Rigor the classes are a good balance. there is many opportunities for you to go into the city and learn. students are challenged to use all of their potential in their classes. if they are struggling the professors are there for you anytime you need help.
Dorm Life i am a commuter student. i have been in the dorms they are clean. they are a typical dorm size.
Food and Dining i love the food. there is always something for everyone.
What to do for fun there are always many activities on campus, locally, and especially in the city. there are always a sporting event going on or some type of activity.
Bang for the buck the tuition is high, but just like any other private university. there are many scholarships that you can receive.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus the three day orientation for freshman is tradition that most schools do not do, but it is very fun and memorable. we also every year have a band come and perform this year we are having gym class heroes.
Great for these types of students wagner college is good for students that like small schools. if you want your professor to know you and help you this is the school for you.

Categories Rating Comments In three sentences wagner is an excellent place to learn. the environment is calming and suitable for studying. there is also always someone wanting to help you become a better student.
Tips for prospective students if you plan on going to wagner, then make sure to attend orientation. you will meet people with your interest and make great friends. the other freshman are at the same place as you so remember everyone is a little nervous. just enjoy the experience.
Academic Rigor the classes can be difficult depending on what interests you the most. most classes require a lot of reading and consistent attendance to your classes. be prepared to work hard. not all professors are difficult but a few expect a lot from their students. the professors are mostly willing to help though.
Dorm Life from what i have heard, the freshman dorms are a little stuffy since they are in the oldest dorm building on campus but as you being an upperclassmen, the dorms get much better and more convenient. the senior dorm building even has a starbucks in it.
Food and Dining take the college up on the free gym membership because the food is so good you are going to have a hard time maintaining a good weight. the hawk's nest has an array of options from salad to pizza to burgers. in the cafeteria like section downstairs, there is a buffet style layout where you can order sandwiches or get food from the buffet.
What to do for fun there are a lot of clubs and greek organizations. the meetings are usually late afternoon or at night which makes it difficult for commuters. the gym is open if you sign up for the membership.
Bang for the buck it is mostly worth the tuition you pay. the professors act mostly professional but have no problem helping you with anything. the dorms are generally clean. most of all the library is so vast. the only thing negative is if you are a commuter you are not going to benefit as much and some professors are very intelligent but can not teach the best.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus in one of the buildings on campus there is the coffeehouse where students can socialize and relax.
Great for these types of students wagner college is for the kind of student that likes a relaxing environment with obtainable excitement. if you want to be near new york city but have a quiet place to go back to then wagner is perfect.
Campus Safety the campus could be considered small so there is always someone around to help. around campus, there are emergency call posts that alert campus security of where you are and they will come and help.

Categories Rating Comments Am learning a lot Academically, this school is a disappointment. Don't fall for the advertising like I did, they are really sub-par.
Am enjoying being here There is almost nothing to do here. A lot of students leave on the weekends, so it sort of turns into a ghost town. Also, the campus is on top of a hill... if you want to walk anywhere your out of luck. The transfer rate is extremely high at this school for a reason- it is pretty miserable being here.
Bang for the buck This school is an absolute rip off. The academics are not anything special. The living spaces are cockroach and centipede infested. (yes, it really is true) They threaten to charge you money for ridiculous things, and they really don't care about your well-being.
Tips for prospective students If you are a theater major, go here. It's a great theater program, and you'll be amongst many people who share similar interests with you. Also, you are obviously in a good area for internships considering to proximity of Broadway.
Great for these types of students Theater students!
