Cappex is free to high school students, undergraduate transfer and graduate students. To access the site, students create a Cappex account.
How does Cappex work for students?
Cappex empowers students by helping them find colleges where they will succeed. Once students complete a survey about their accomplishments and interests, they begin to hear about schools that meet their unique qualifications. Colleges can also invite a student to hear more about a specific program they believe the student is particularly well-suited for. Students control the process and decide which schools they want to follow up with. Cappex does not share students' personal contact information without their approval, so students stay in control over their information throughout the entire Cappex process.
The service is free to students. In order to maintain the service, Cappex sells advertising on the site to select institutions and companies.

How can I change my email address
To change your email address, log in using your old email address. Once logged in, click the "Account" tab to change your email address. (You'll need to validate your email address again. Check your new email account for the validation link.)

Cappex is free to parents. To access the site for free, parents create a Cappex account by providing their email address and creating a password.

Cappex provides parents peace of mind by allowing them to monitor their students' college search progress. Cappex empowers their students by introducing them to colleges where they will most likely succeed. Parents can monitor student progress right on the site.
My child and I share an email address. Can we both use Cappex?
A single email address can have only one account on Cappex. So if you share an email address with your child, make sure to sign your child up with that email address; don't sign up as a parent. If you already signed up as a parent, and we can delete your parent account so you can re-create it as a student.

Does Cappex charge high school counselors money for using the site?
Cappex is free to high school counselors. To access the site for free, counselors create a Cappex account by providing their contact information and establishing a password.
How does Cappex work for high school counselors?
Cappex helps counselors and their students have more meaningful conversations about college options. Cappex.com has features for counselors to monitor student progress right on the site.

What do I do if I am invited to use Cappex by one of my students?
On the "High School Counselor Account" page, provide your primary email address and create a password. Please complete all of the information on the page including your title and school address. You will be sent an e-mail requesting you verify your e-mail address. To verify it, you will need to can click a link in the email message. When you click the link, you will be able to view the students progress page on Cappex. You will also be able to invite students to complete their free Cappex profile.

How does Cappex work for colleges and universities?
Cappex goes beyond traditional student search by providing a way for colleges and students to have a two-way dialog. Through our dedicated account managers, colleges can search for and select students based on their unique class needs. Colleges then send targeted invitations to selected students and receive responses through an innovative online college center.
How many colleges are on Cappex?
We have a team of college relations managers who work with colleges to identify unique educational opportunities. We have hundreds of colleges on Cappex today and are adding more each day.
How does my company or institution advertise on Cappex?

Cappex ensures that the types of advertising displayed on the Cappex.com web site are appropriate for and beneficial to college and high school students.
