Alfred C. Darby Estate Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Description: Funded by the YSU Foundation and the University, this award is available to graduates of Youngstown/Warren inner-city schools(Calvary Christian Academy, Campbell Memorial, Cardinal Mooney, Chaney, East, Farrell, New Castle, Niles, Rayen, Sharon, South, Struthers, Ursuline, Wilson, Youngstown Christian School, John F. Kennedy, Warren G. Harding, and Warren Western Reserve.) Need-based awards of up to $1,500 per academic year are available to students who have financial need. Students must be admitted to the University in good standing or, if currently enrolled at YSU, must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 and be registered for at least 6 credit hours. Early completion of the FAFSA is encouraged, as funds are limited. You must have completed FAFSA results to be considered. If a FAFSA is completed by the February 15th deadline students need not apply. If FAFSA is filed late, a late consideration for campus based aid application may be required.
