The Hurie Scholarship equals $18,300. To qualify for this scholarship you must: Be a first-time entering freshman, have an ACT composite score of at least 27 or an SAT score of at least 1200 (combination of Critical reading and Math sections only), have at least a 3.5 cumulative high school GPA, with at least a 3.5 GPA in the core subjects, not be selected as an Arkansas Governor's Scholarship recipient. If you qualify for the Presidential scholarship, you will automatically be considered for a Hurie Scholarship, but will be asked to complete an essay and interview on-campus. Each candidate will be encouraged to participate in a campus visit as part of the interview process. The Office of Admission will provide hotel lodging for one night and meals on campus for you and your family members while you are in town for the interview. You must be admitted in order to interview. The Hurie Scholarship does not cover the cost of administrative fees such as activity fee, media fee, computer use fees, etc. (these total approximately $600 per academic year).

Renewal Criteria
You must earn a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.00 by the end of the first year, 3.25 by the end of the second year, and 3.25 by the end of the third year. Also, you must complete a minimum of 10 hours per semester of supervised community service activities.
