Abraham F. Kotkin Scholarship

Scholarship Description
* Must meet admissions requirements and be accepted into the College of Education and Human Services. * Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. * Must major in an area leading to the Florida Teacher Certification. * Must intend to work in an urban school environment. * Must enroll full time (12 cr) each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year * Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 during the junior and senior years * Must comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus. * Must consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donors. * Must remain in good standing as a student. * Must demonstrate financial need through the submission of a 2 page double spaced statement answering the question "Why I need the Urban Education Scholarship to help me reach my education goals?" * Must attach two academic professional letters of recommendation. * Must be enrolled full-time during the term the award is used.
