The University of Georgia Black Alumni Association Scholarship

Scholarship Description
Amounts The Black Alumni Association Scholarship Fund provides two annual scholarships in the amount of $1,500 to first-year students who exhibit dedication to racial equality through previous experience, initiatives, and creativity in improving race relations in their community. Each scholarship is renewable for up to three years, provided the student is in good academic standing. See website for this year's deadlines. Details The following criteria must be met in order to receive consideration for the award: Received admission to the University of Georgia U.S. citizen or permanent resident Enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours) Degree-seeking freshman Has demonstrated leadership qualities and ambition Scholarship recipients will be stewarded by the Alumni Association and receive special invitations to alumni affairs and multicultural events throughout the academic year.
