University of West Georgia Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship Description
The Foundation Scholarship Program is a two-tiered competitive scholarship program for new students that will award $50,000 to incoming freshmen starting in Fall 2008. There will be 10 awards at the $2,000 level and 30 awards at the $1,000 level. These awards are not to be combined with any additional institutional scholarships and are not renewable; however they can be combined with the HOPE Scholarship. Minimum Qualifications: 3.5 High School GPA (as calculated by the Office of Admissions-only college prep courses will be considered in GPA calculation) 1150 Combined SAT (Math and Critical Reading ONLY) or ACT composite of 25. Students will also be required to write an essay during Scholarship Day and required to submit a resume with their leadership and extracurricular activities. Please send your honors/activities resume by February 1, 2008 to the Office of Admissions For scholarship selection, we will only use transcripts and test scores that are received in the Office of Admissions by the February 1, 2008 scholarship deadline. If students wish their Fall 2007 grades and courses or any new test scores to be considered, please send updated transcripts and test scores to the Office of Admissions. DEADLINE FOR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP CONSIDERATION: February 1, 2008.
