The University of West Georgia seeks to achieve preeminence in providing educational excellence in a personal environment through an intellectually stimulating and supportive community for its students, faculty, and staff.
Is given to an incoming freshman or transfer theatre major(s). This award is the result of the strong and continual community support for the West Georgia Theatre Company over the past ten years. Contributions came in the form of fund raising donations, ticket sales from the outdoor drama, The Murder of Chief McIntosh, and generous unsolicited donations. With this scholarship, the Department of Mass Communications and Theatre Arts hopes to both honor the community and provide financial support to a deserving new theatre student. The award is worth approximately $800 per year and is endowed.
