Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois Program (DFI)
- Scholarship Description
- GPA, ACT, Year in School: Must be enrolled in a Graduate Program, must be enrolled at least half-time ;must be Illinois resident; or high school or college graduate from an Il school; or registered voter in IL plus a minimum of 3 years residency in IL; must be member of an underrepresented group (African American, Hispanic American, Asian American or Native American); minimum GPA of 2.75 in the last two years of undergraduate work or over a 3.2 in at least 9 hours of graduate study; must be planning to pursue a career in teaching or administration at an Illinois post-secondary institution; must demonstrate financial need as evidences on the FAFSA. Award Amount: $12,500 stipend. Comments: Assistance with the application process is available in the WIU Graduate Office.
