Departmental Scholarships

Scholarship Description
Butler University offers scholarships in several academic areas for students intending to major within the following colleges or academic areas: College of Business Administration College of Education College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Engineering Dual Degree Program Exploratory Studies Program (for undecided students) Pre-Law studies Pre-Medical studies Departmental Scholarships are renewable as long as the student upholds the academic standards outlined in the scholarship offer. Students may be considered for only one Departmental Scholarship and these awards may be offered in addition to the Freshman Academic Scholarships. Eligibility All candidates for Departmental Scholarships must: * Be incoming full-time freshmen * Submit a complete Application for Freshman Admission and Scholarships by November 15 (Early Action I) * Have a minimum SAT score of 1230 (critical reading and math) or ACT score of 27 (composite without the writing component) or be ranked in the top 10 percent of their graduating class * Submit two letters of recommendation in addition to the secondary school report * Complete Option A on the essay portion of the Application for Freshman Admission and Scholarships
