Recipient(s): One Amount: $4,350 Class Standing: See criteria below The Irma and David Goldknopf Scholarship Fund endeavors to assist students who are a single parent or guardian attending SUNY New Paltz and can demonstrate a high degree of academic competence. Applicant must demonstrate great financial need, which jeopardizes continued academic progress. The scholarship will be used to provide a scholarship award(s) of full in-state tuition, per semester, to one SUNY New Paltz student in accordance with their needs, who have demonstrated academic achievement and the promise of future success as defined below. The Fund will assist such students in accordance with their financial needs, but not in excess of the annual cost of tuition at SUNY New Paltz. Awards will be made on a yearly basis. In addition to any application form, which may be required by the College Scholarship Committee, applicant(s) must submit The Irma and David Goldknopf Scholarship Fund Application form. (see Appendix IV ) The selection and criteria process will be as follows: A. Recipient must be a single parent or guardian. B. Recipient must be a matriculated student (continuing or transfer), at SUNY New Paltz with a 12-credit minimum course load each semester (undergraduate); or, a graduate degree candidate in good standing. C. Recipient must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. D. Student must show financial need through one or more of the following: tax returns, W-2 wage and tax statements, Financial Aid Application and/or Student Account Invoice.
