Westfield State College Presidential Merit Scholarships
Scholarship Description
College-funded, merit-based grants that recognize outstanding academic achievement of selected new first-year students attending Westfield State College.
Limited number of Presidential Merit Scholarships awarded annually and are awarded on a first come basis.
First-year applicants who are Massachusetts residents and meet the necessary criteria will be considered automatically.
Criteria is: SAT-I score of 1200 (Critical Reading and Math combined) or higher; and
High school cumulative grade point average at the time of acceptance to the college of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (and/or class rank in the top 25%)
Presidential merit scholarships, which equal that annual cost of tuition, are renewable each year for a maximum of 4 years (8 semesters) by maintaining a 3.30 cumulative average; or by maintaining a 3.00 cumulative average with at least one Honors course completed per semester
