Recognition of Excellence Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- Award amount of $2,000 per year. To be awarded freshmen students must have at least a 3.5 high school GPA and a minimum 21 ACT/950 SAT. Transfer students must have at least a 3.5 transfer GPA and at least 30 transferable credits. Continuing students must have at least a 3.5 cumulative EMU GPA. To receive payment, students must enroll in at least 12 hours each semester and maintain a 3.3 cumulative EMU GPA to renew Renewable for up to 4 years. Incoming freshmen are awarded for 4 years and transfer and continuing student eligibility is determined by a formula: 124-# of transfer credits/earned credits divided by 15 = semesters of eligibility (i.e. 124-64 transfer credits =60/15=4 semesters of eligibility). Recipients living in University Housing are eligible for the Campus Housing Award ($1,000/year).
