Scholarship Description
The Albert I. Love Scholarship Fund was initiated in 1971 as the result of contributions from the family and friends of Albert I. Love. The fund is named in memory of the late Albert I. Love, a friend of The Citadel. In selecting a recipient, preference shall be given to incoming freshmen from Colleton County in South Carolina who possess attributes in accord with the high standards of The Citadel. The first award from this fund was made in 1973.
