Language Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- A limited number of scholarships of $1000 per academic year are available for incoming freshmen who major in French and/or Spanish and who maintain good academic standing throughout the program. Renewal of the scholarship is based on the recommendation of Modern Languages Department faculty members. To compete for a scholarship, an appointment must be made for the competition dates (normally in early February); the competition involves writing an essay in the foreign language (topic will be given on competition day) as well as an oral interview in the foreign language with one or more professors from the Modern Languages Department.
