Walter Scott Scholarship
- Scholarship Description
- The Walter Scott Scholarship Program represents the college’s highest and most prestigious academic awards. To qualify for one of these scholarships, high school seniors must meet ALL of the following: Apply and complete the admission file, Rank in the top 20% of high school class OR have a 3.75 GPA, Score a 26 composite or higher on the ACT exam (or at least 1170 on the SAT exam), Complete a Walter Scott Application, Submit an activities resume. Three Full-Tuition (per year) Scholarships (Total Value: over $80,000). *Renewable each year with a 3.0 GPA and is in lieu of any other Hastings College sponsored scholarships or grants. The Hastings College Walter Scott Selection Committee will select 50 finalists to interview on Scholar’s Day, for the Full-Tuition, Trustee and President Scholarships. These scholarship recipients are selected based on superior academic achievement and expected contributions to the Hastings College campus. Finalists unable to attend Scholar’s Day will be awarded a Dean Scholarship.
